I had the weirdest day. At around 2pm today, USCIS texted an update on my AOS. My Case Status indicated "New Card Being Produced" and again at around 9pm, I received another update. My Case Status is now reflecting "Case Was Approved". This is so weird because I never received a single update since biometrics. I didn't get a letter about interview exemption as well. Is this a glitch? Has this happened to anyone? Is My Case Status 100% reliable?

That's the normal progress, card produced and then case approved.

Most likely you'll get another one saying your card is mailed and then you'll get the card next.

They're not really sending out the interview exemption letter anymore.

I see. Thank you so much for the clarification. I feel quite relieved now. So I guess I'll just have to wait for the card to arrive? :dancing:

:idea: May 31,2011-we met thru a common friend in FB (we've been bestfriends since then)

Our AOS Journey:

March 1,2016 - I arrived in the US with a B2 visa (visitor)

Day 00: August 4,2016 - we submitted our AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) (USPS Priority Mail)

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Day 112: November 28,2016 - Applied for SSN

Day 118: December 3,2016 - SS card received in the mailbox :)

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

Day 175: January 30, 2017 - Received the Interview Appointment letter in the Mail! :) 

Day 206: March 2, 2017 - Interview schedule.

Yay my interview is already scheduled for Dec 8! :D my status immediately jumped fr fingerprint fee being received to interview is scheduled. I was really worried that my case was lost in the pile or something, since my hairstylist said that happened to her fiancé.

Yay my interview is already scheduled for Dec 8! :D my status immediately jumped fr fingerprint fee being received to interview is scheduled. I was really worried that my case was lost in the pile or something, since my hairstylist said that happened to her fiancé.

Got my bio letter Friday night on day like 81 since date of receipt... finally, tried walking today in Naperville, IL and got rejected so I drove an hour to another ASC and they were very nice, in and out within 20 mins. How long have people been waiting for there combo cards since biometrics? Looking for recent updates. Also, how long do I have to wait for the fingerprints to be in the system until I can try getting an expedite since my 90 days is on November 15?

That was weird, I tried calling to talk about the expedite but they told me my car was in production as of today. That's a relief. They said it could take up to 60 days.. has it been taking that long?

We did our biometric last October 26 and received another letter saying we need to do another one on Nov.10. Called them and they said we have to do it again saying they might need clarification. And yes Naperville, IL facility does not allow walk-in. The guard will highlight the number to call for re-schedule .

Does anybody know if Trump being elected could affect us? Or do you think we are safe because we are already on the process? I read that he wanted to stop green cards... I'm also on a same sex marriage, so I hope he doesn't overturn it cause he also said that...

Donald Trump is referring to halting production of the H1B green card.

Now, for my opinion:

Donald Trump is well aware and sympathetic toward marrying someone from a foreign country. After all, he has done this himself a couple of times. That said, his threats specifically targeted work based immigration and not family based immigration. On top of this, he doesn't have the power to do anything about gay marriage or relationships. (Nor do I think he personally desires to - although his supreme court nominees may)
