Finnnaaalllllyyyy after 80 days of not getting by bio appointment I got it. November 16th. Going to try an early walk in. How does the walk in work? It gets done then what? How long after do I wait to follow up?

How long after the biometrics does something generally get updated?

Take your bio letter, passport, marriage license and every other piece of paperwork you have (just in case). Leave all your electronics in the car, walk in and with a big smile say "hi! Im here"

Biometrics is quick and painless. If they are not busy they will take your fingerprints. Just be prepared, in case they tell you to come back.

I'm in SF office and SF has a lot of immigrations. Surprisingly no wait for me...

And they updated right away, I would say.

Yay! After not showing the i-485 case in my app, it just appeared and says "Case ready for interview"... Does anybody know how long it takes more or less to actually receive a date in the mail after this notice? Thanks

It varies, sometimes few weeks, some people I see that they have to wait couple of months

what is an info pass? We received that both the EAD and travel were approved. But nothing on AOS or I-130 any advise? Thanks a lot!!!

You can make an appointment at your local USCIS to talk to the immigration officer in person (instead of on the phone at 800- number) on the case if you have any questions.

You are on the right track for now, I think

Does anybody know if Trump being elected could affect us? Or do you think we are safe because we are already on the process? I read that he wanted to stop green cards... I'm also on a same sex marriage, so I hope he doesn't overturn it cause he also said that...

He said during the primaries that he would halt issuance of new green cards. And who knows what he will do or what he will be allowed to do. I'm going to be a nervous wreck on Tuesday.

Folks try not to be concerned to much. I know my husband was too. But even if a president wants to do that it takes Congress to pass such bills or acts. Even if it did happen they would have to post a date of change and then it would effect those fling after that date. God willing that won't happen I know we don't have the best to vote or chose from but we are all safe.

I had the weirdest day. At around 2pm today, USCIS texted an update on my AOS. My Case Status indicated "New Card Being Produced" and again at around 9pm, I received another update. My Case Status is now reflecting "Case Was Approved". This is so weird because I never received a single update since biometrics. I didn't get a letter about interview exemption as well. Is this a glitch? Has this happened to anyone? Is My Case Status 100% reliable?
