Something very strange happened tonight: the app notified me that my case status changed to "Response to USCIS' Request for evidence was received" but I did not get any RFE/RFIE nor did I send any documents other than the original package that was received by them back in August. 20 minutes later my case status changed again to "Fingerprint fee was received", the same status I had since August.

I did not get any texts or emails from USCIS that my case was updated, though but that's okay cause the same thing happened with my Advance Parole when it was approved.

Hey guys, I am wondering how much notice USCIS gives when scheduling the I-485 interview? We are planning a trip back to Haiti at the end of January. I'm assuming that if we haven't gotten notice of a scheduled interview by now, there is no danger of them scheduling it for while we're gone? It took them 3 months to even give us the biometrics appointment, but then we got the EAD/AP card a week later. So I'm all confused about the waiting times for AOS. Also, the biometrics was scheduled in Pittsburgh; is it safe to assume that's where the interview will be?

I had that too but i figured it was just a system problem and since my status went back to normal i didnt really care about it.

No, it will not. Travel insurance is geared for injuries, and getting you back home. Alive or dead.

Was wondering whether I should call and inquire about it (my status is "Fingerprint fee received" since August, 28th), or just continue waiting, since NYC office is probably very busy.

Got my i-485 approval notice today...yay! How long after getting the approval notice did you guys get your green card?

I got mine today! I was approved Dec. 9 tho it said New Card is Being Produced on Dec 8. So, that's about 5-6 days for me.
