I was checking the 100 cases I follow, and we got the "New Card Is Being Produced" on our EAD I-765 case status. We didn't receive any e-mail notification. I think they will email us after it goes to "approved" or "card mailed."

I think we are going to be very busy shuttling to all of the places she wants to work.

Congrats. Wait a bit before you apply for jobs. It took me over a month to get my card from the moment they changed the status. I actually had to deny a job that I got because my card didnt arrive before my starting date.

How long after do you receive the notice in mail that they approve your EAD card?

My job starts in jan 3rd and I'm doing background check right now, I really hope they send me the card soon or at least the approval notice.

I was told by a Tier 2 that it doesn't delay it, but I've also been told and read online that it does delay it. I'm getting pretty PO'd. I've put in two separate SR for my case because I have not gotten my bio appt yet (receipt date August 15). This is getting ridicualous, I haven't even received acknowledgment that my SR was received.

I think you will have to wait. And the moment you finish your biometrics appointment, your status for EAD will likely to be change to "Card is being produced". That is what happened to me and couple of us in the forum... Hate to hear and hate to say, but wait.

In my case, I made 2 services request for biometrics I-485, 1 request to return phone call from tier 2 about biometrics, and 1 service request for biometrics at EAD form. The service request for EAD sent me the email that my biometrics is coming. Then few days later, the other 3 service requests sent me the same answer. I went to do the biometrics the after and they printed biometrics notice with the bar code at USCIS ASC.

Ilovepho we have the same receipt dates and same issue with no bio. I was finally able to get the Tier 2 to put an expedite on my 765, even though I had an SR in on it. She said sometimes she can submit it and the computer will take it and sometimes not but I got it lucky. My understanding is that the expedite I should hear something in 7 days?

I never got an approval letter for the EAd card just for the AP card. But employers are not allowed to accept just the approval letter because technically they could still deny you the EAD card after sending out the letter if they found a new reason to deny it.

The letter for the AP card took me about 28 days after they changed the status to approved and than it took about 2 weeks for the card to be in the mail.

Finally moving forward. If it helps anyone, here's an update of mine:

Aug 11 NOA for AOS/EAD

Sept 7 Biometrics

Oct 18 New Card Produced

November 1 Card was Mailed

November 3 Got my card in the mail. ☺️

It never gave me a tracking number btw.

Unfortunately an RFI resets the clock to day one starting as soon as they receive it so I've been told many many times. You're in the same boat as me, except I'm trying to just get a dam bio appointment. They received my RFI Sept 28. I got off the phone with a Tier two and the lady put in for my case to be expedited since it's day 80 and no biometrics. Good luck

That depends. If you are filing an I-485, then the clock doesn't get reset to Day One. It does get delayed by the time it takes to receive the response to the RFIE. That is

what I found on the USCIS website anyway.....check it out.

At 1:51am today, i received a text notification that my case number for EAD (I-765) has been updated. When i logged in online to check, it says that my case was approved on October 31. Then on the case history, it says

08/09/2016

We received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.

So will thay mean i will probably get my EAD withoutmy fingerprint or they will still wait for ky biometrics before the next update like card being produce or card mailed to me? I haven't done my biometrics yet. But I'm glad EAD was approved. ?

That's great, congrats! You must be really relieved to finally see some movement on your case.

I don't know how it will work with biometrics. My guess will be that they will just prepare it and send it as is as your appointment isn't for a while yet, but that's just a guess.
