My new husband and I are embarking on our adjustment of status paperwork and I thought that someone should start a thread for this month. I was part of a similar thread for our K-1 Visa process and it was incredibly helpful to have that kind of support. Looking forward to hearing from everyone as we go through the same process.

A little bit about our case: My husband is Mexican and I am a US citizen. We have have been together for over 6 years, but I just recently brought him over here on a K-1 visa. We got married last month and are now trying to adjust his status.

A little bit about our case: My husband is Mexican and I am a US citizen. We have have been together for over 6 years, but I just recently brought him over here on a K-1 visa. We got married last month and are now trying to adjust his status.

Hello there! We're going to send our papers this coming Thursday! So we'll be part of August filers too. :) My husband & I got married in the Philippines last year. I came in here last March as a visitor and we changed our plan of me just staying here rather than go back in the Philippines. So I hope we both have our smooth AOS processing. March 1,2016 - I arrived in the US with a B2 visa (visitor)

Day 00: August 4,2016 - we submitted our AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) (USPS Priority Mail)

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Day 112: November 28,2016 - Applied for SSN

Day 118: December 3,2016 - SS card received in the mailbox :)

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

Day 175: January 30, 2017 - Received the Interview Appointment letter in the Mail! :) 

Day 206: March 2, 2017 - Interview schedule.

Hi all August filers!!

I sent my paperwork last week but it was delivered on Monday so here I am :)

I have been in the US since May on K1 visa, got married beginning of June. I had troubles finding a doctor that would only fill in the immunization records without the full medical so AOS application got pushed a bit. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and quickly.

I see that as part of the change of status we have to submit a G325-A form for the person changing status. Do I, as the US Citizen, also need to fill one of these out? I know for the K-1 visa I had to, but I don't see anything showing that I have to do this for the change of status.

The way I understood it it is not necessary for the USC to provide a G325a for the AOS process. We did not include one for the USC (myself) in the AOS application we submitted yesterday.

fathom500 is right. No need to include G325A of the USC. It only requires it for the intending immigrant. ;)

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

Day 175: January 30, 2017 - Received the Interview Appointment letter in the Mail! :) 

Day 206: March 2, 2017 - Interview schedule.

Can't wait to send this hard worked paper works later when my hubby arrived from work!??

As you can see I already updated my signature as if I've already sent it because I'm really excited about it.?

I've double checked it multiple times and I hope we won't have any problems RFEs whatever and same to you my fellow August filers!?

Our Story:

:idea: May 31,2011-we met thru a common friend in FB (we've been bestfriends since then)

(F) February 24,2014-we officially became a couple

:wub: November 25,2014 - got engaged

(L) March 16,2015- we got married in the Philippines

Our AOS Journey:

March 1,2016 - I arrived in the US with a B2 visa (visitor)

Day 00: August 4,2016 - we submitted our AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) (USPS Priority Mail)

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Day 112: November 28,2016 - Applied for SSN

Day 118: December 3,2016 - SS card received in the mailbox :)
