So i received a reply from the embassy saying since you are having problems accessing form DS-260,

you can complete form DS-230 part I & II and submit it together with all supporting documents.

How do i pay the fees with this DS-230 form? there is not that option ...

while the packet is still at NVC stage you should recieve a bill for the DS 260 (mine came in an email)

then you pay the fee and when it is accepted and paid out, you can access the form online and fill it out

i, the petitioner, did all this

ok say i don't receive the bill for the DS-260 through my email, then i proceed to complete the DS-230 form

(which is a paper form not electronic like ds-260) where do i submit this form and the affidavit of support to?

This link the embassy gave me https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/how-to-apply-2/

says don't submit any documents to NVC?

And does that mean, if i go with the DS-230 ,i can just pay the fees at my interview?

Are you doing DCF?

Have you verified that all of your numbers (case number and IIN) are correct?

No i'm not doing DCF.

Yes all my numbers are correct, that's why i'm giving up on the DS-260.

And just filling the DS-230 by hand and taking it with all the supporting documents and affidavit of support

to the Embassy interview sometime in September (hopefully)

You cant get a case complete without the ds-260. You should be contact the NVC and the DOS technical support.

So are you saying the Embassy lied?

I contacted NVC and i'm waiting for them to reply, if they give me an invoice ID number, then i can do

the DS-260 form. But if they don't, then i don't have a choice and i have to go with the DS-230...

the embassy has no control over this and probably thought you were doing DCF.

i made an inquiry email and while i'm waiting, the Embassy replied and advised me to do the DS-230 instead.

Call them and discuss this with them.

That's what I'm suspecting as well. The embassy cannot just say that you can bring the DS-230 instead if the DS-260 cannot be opened, because the NVC has to state the case is complete so that you can actually get an interview appointment, and without the case complete from the NVC, the embassy will not be able to schedule the appt. And I highly doubt that the embassy will call NVC to let them know the DS-230 will be brought to the interview.

It's ok now, my lawyer sent me the invoice number.

So now i'm able to use the DS-260 form
