I-864 question - Form 1099?

So I've started to prepare everything for the interview just to get going with the process and I've noticed this statement on the checklist of the I-864

For ALL sponsors:

A copy of your individual Federal income tax return, including W-2s for the most recent tax year, or a statement and/or evidence describing why you were not required to file. Also include a copy of each and every Form 1099, Schedule, and any other evidence of reported income. You may submit this information for the most recent three tax years, pay stubs from the most recent six months, and/or a letter from your employer if you believe any of these items will help you qualify.

- My sponsor already sent me his W-2s for 2013-2015 and his paystub. Do I still need his income tax return? Do I also need the Form 1099? I'm not sure if he has it and I really don't wanna bother him too much only to find out that this isn't really necessary.

- He has sent me his company letterhead with the address and his name and position, can I just use that to make a letter certifying his employment with his company?

What did you guys bring during the interview related to the I-864 employment? Thank you!

hi

yes, he needs his taxes, no to 1099

1099s are for self employed, or a person has W2s as employed or 1099s as self employed, contract

Thank you! I was wondering why he said he doesn't have a 1099!

Since he is employed I need the ff:

W2 for the past 3 years

Income Tax Returns for the past 3 years

Pay stubs for the past 6 months

Employment letter

Is that correct? Also is the Income Tax reTurn and Income Tax Transcript the same? I really have no idea.

Are you suggesting to falsify a document? If so, of course you can't! The employment verification document should be written and signed by a manager or HR person at his company.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Are you applying for fiancé or spousal visa? There's a discrepancy between your profile and the forum you chose to post in. What embassy are you going to?

Sorry, I haven't updated that yet. I filed DCF in Manila for my spouse.
