Check cashed but no NOA1 8+ weeks after filing

Hello dear VJ-community

First of, thank you all so much for sharing your experiences; this site has prevented me from going crazy so far ;)

Secondly, I have a question and would love to read about your experiences. My fiancée and I filed our K1-petition at the end of May, and our check got cashed sometime mid-June. So, nothing too far off based on other people's experiences who filed around the same time. Yet, we have not received any NOA1 so far. We didn't include form G-1145, but I know that we should still receive a hard copy. Has anyone filing around the same time gone through something similar? Are there people who never receive any NOA1s at all? I know that NOA1 isn't all that important for the full process, but I would still like to have it in order to see where we're at (I'm sure you guys understand that the wait is the worst...)

Thank you all in advance for even the smallest piece of advice or experience, and good luck to everybody with their respective petitions!

Call them and have them send (or resend) the NOA. 8+ weeks is absurdly long.

Correct that the NOA1 receipt notice is not that important or used for anything else than proving your petition and payment were received, but the NOA2 approval notice is important and will be needed later for AOS. You should contact the USCIS to make sure your address is correct in their system to be sure you can correctly receive their notices. Also check to make sure they have even mailed you as of yet. If not, the delay is too long. It can take up to 30 days. You are well past that.

Thank you guys very much. I will have my fiancée call USCIS as I am worried that we won't get NOA2 either, and, as KayDeeCee pointed out, it will be important later on in the process.

At the beginning, I hadn't worried too much as our check was cashed, which indicated that they at the very least received and opened our petition.
