Yes, I waited until my status was "Ready" and I received a email from the Embassy instructing to do. I had to schedule my interview before I could schedule my medical exam as the medical place wanted to be a confirmed interview date.

Hello all, Just an update on our K1. Today I checked the NVC Visa Status Check and see that our status changed from In Transit to Ready! As soon as we had notice that the NVC had sent our packet to the Consulate we started working on the DS-160, GSS, made payment for the interview and assembling the rest of Packet 3. Now that packet 3 is compete and the status is Ready, we will be sending it out in the mail tomorrow morning. Hopefully we will hear something within the next week or two on an interview date! (Crossing my fingers!) Our experience has been a fast one. Its only been 68 days now from the date we submitting our K1 application. Good luck to everyone. :)

Did the embassy mail you packet 3? or did you just put it together & sending it? For my fiance, the embassy sent him a packet & we had to gather those documents & fill in the papers they gave us. The US Consulate made him fill out a form for the police clearance certificate, so they could request the police clearance certificate. My fiance couldn't get it on his own. They also had an additional form in the packet which we had to fill out after we completed the DS-160.

If you haven't checked your embassy's information, you might wanna do that before. If you have then your good to go :)

Yes as a matter of fact we already checked the website. I have talked to a few others that had sent their packets in before they actually received the packets from the embassy. They have the packet online as well to use. As far as the police clearance we were able to use a copy of our NOA2 to satisfy what the police wanted. We should be good to go. ?
