u dont need your noa2 harcopy to get your case number

if its a small issue it seems most get approved right after quickly

Really? Do they just need the receipt number from the NOA 1? If that's they case maybe we are safe to call the NVC? Thanks

Stay strong ADT! Hopefully this is yours and soul striker week. Good luck.

No, i am the petitioner. My fiance is still waiting to hear from the US embassy in his country.

Did you guys check the Regional Discussion forum for your embassy? There may be steps you can take before he hears from his embassy. We have not heard from our embassy at all but we were able to book everything in advance.

one thing to note about that, which other people who got their case numbers have confirmed- when the NVC has your case, that's when they'll ask you for the beneficiary full name and birth date. If they don't have your case, they'll instead ask the date you received your NOA2 and then give you the "6 weeks" spiel.

It's not much, but it is a little heads up so you know what to expect :)

Hope to hear lots more updates this week!

Has anyone from August scheduled their interview yet? I know there were a handful of people from our group that are flying through the process so far.

We are 8-1 NOA and have scheduled our medical and interview for next month. Hope everyone else is having a smooth plrocess as well!

Either the Beneficiary or the Petitioner can call the NVC. Bear in mind that you would have to pay international rates if the Beneficiary calls the NVC and the times they are open are 7am to 12am EST. The hold times I have experienced tend to be around 30 to 40 minutes so if you are making an international call to check for your case number, it may be costly.

Yea, I did check. They want all the documents mailed to them before we can schedule the appointment. The package that they are going to send to my fiance will have like the paper he needs to take with him to get the medical done and also the police clearance form is going to be in there. That is why we have to wait for the embassy to contact him before he can get his medical and to start the paperwork process.

Thanks guys. I'm calling from Canada and I have long distance calling to the states so it is okay.
