Well, it's still illegal to get married on a tourist visa as far as i know, regardless what country you come from... so I'd rather do it the right way

We were approved on 9/13. I called the NVC yesterday, they told me they just updated our case (got our case number). For the others yours should be in the works too- NOA2 or NVC... Keep the faith!

Hmm, if you called yesterday and were approved, it looks like the cutoff was the 13th. So everyone who filed after that has to hope the crate got shipped only a couple days after yours!

Still no NOA2 for us. I am hoping this week. We got our NOA1 on the 10th of August. 51 days so far. It gives me good feelings to see all the August 8th folks getting approved.

Same boat. Still no NOA2. Consistently checking :clock:

Our decision is supposed to arrive from September 26-October 2. I hope we get the approval soon!

How are we first notified?

By email, if you signed up for email notifications. My letter came a few days after the email.

My fiancée called NVC last night and still they have not received our petition. I'm like we were approved 9/8. I know that having patience is key to this process.

K-1 Process  

7/27/16- Mailed 129-F to Texas Lockbox

8/01/16- USCIS received packet

9/08/16- Petition Approved

9/27/16- NVC received packet

9/28/16- Case Number assigned

9/30/16- Left NVC to Dhaka

10/04/16- Embassy in Dhaka received petition

10/12/16- Received packet 4

11/01/16- Medical Exam completed

11/28/16- Interview in Dhaka

11/28/16- 221 (g) Green Slip given

02/06/17- Visa Denied

 

CR-1 Process

04/24/17- Getting Married

05/22/17- Mail in I-130 to Phoenix Lockbox

5/24/14- Delivered to Phoenix Lockbox & Priority number given (Nebraska)

I've been only reading but decided to say hi.

NOA1 was August 1 and still waiting for NOA2. Wonder if it means i will get a RFE?

Running out of patience but there's nothing I can do about it :cry:
