Hello everyone My fiance got approved on 10th january but the status isnt changing only the date is updating everyday.I emailed my embassy they said this

Our records indicate that the visa application for this immigrant visa case is still pending under administrative processing.  Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to predict how long this processing may take.  The wait could possibly be quite lengthy.  However, please rest assured that as soon as this processing is finished, we will contact the applicant using the contact information he/she has provided on his/her application.  Thank you for your kind understanding.

 i am so worried ?????

Thats what I hate. They say you pass the interview but they dont issue the visa. What are they looking for? What is name of your Fiance? A very common name? Sometimes you get stuck with Administrative review because of common names and they need to search for it. If there was a problem with your interview they would ask it and give you the 221 (g) form.

You should not worry. As far as I know, they need to send his name to Washington DC with his finger prints and get deep search. They do that. I spoke to my lawyer he said common names are the biggest problems. You should look from the other side of the picture. He has passed the interview and and they did not gave him any letter so it is fine. They just need to do another background check. I dont think it will take that long. They have to approve the case but we dont know when.

"Administrative Review is when they do futher security, background check on you if they determined that the documents you presented are questionable, or when you lack significant requirements.

Administrative Processing is done after your visa interview has been approved and they are going to prepare your papers that you will bring with you to the US. These papers will be presented at the POE and will be left at the Immigration Office there."

Question everyone!

my fiancé and I are going through this, wanted to get you guys' input

Hi everyone,

my fiancé filed I-129F petition back in August, 2016. It was approved by USCIS on September 30th,2016

I receieved a letter from the consulate end of November telling me that I am eligible to apply for K1 visa

While gathering all the required documents we were not aware of the expiration date of the petition. He was coming back to my country so I used this opportunity to wait for him to bring all the necessary documents I needed from him as the petitioner.

We are now in the fourth month (petition is valid for four months) and my medical is scheduled for monday(that is our last step). However, we are just worried that submitting my documents for visa in the last week of the last month might cause problems . Will the consulate still accept our case or will we have to file the petition all over again ?

Does anyone have experience with extending the petition ? Please help ! ?

Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. If no interview was required, please check back in two business days for the status of your application.

Hello Everyone,

so i I wanted to ask you about the the waiting process after the interview. So far it's been 17 days since the interview and today the status on the CEAC website says administrative processing now before it said Ready so that's the most recent change. Did this happen to you as well? The interviewer person said it can take from 2-4 weeks but I'm not sure. Any feedback will help.

 Thanks

If your fiancee name is common the embassy need to clear his/her name. It take time. As you see the previous poster iqra have the same issue. It happens. If they say you you are approved it is good wait. Just wait.

Hello,

So my fiance had his embassy interview. My fiance said interviewer was a jerk. He advised my fiance that I need to be present for the interview. I flew out there to attend the interview. I thought my fiance was exaggerating however this guy was terrible. Anyway I am not sure how it went interviewer didn't even tell us anything, I had to ask what was the next step. The interviewer just said that "we are waiting on the medical to come in before we can complete the process."  Under normal circumstances I would interpret this as his visa was approved pending the medical but because this guy was a jerk I am unsure. Furthermore he didn't even keep his passport. So my question is do they keep the passport to stamp the fiance visa in the passport or will the visa come separately in the DHL package?
