I think maybe you're a little confused...

USC has to petition for the beneficiary, which is the I-129F. This asks for the petitioner's personal info, and also a Biographic of the beneficiary (which i had him help out with but wasn't nearly as detailed as the DS160). That petition was approved, so now my fiance is able to apply for a visa.

The DS-160 is the actual visa application. Since the beneficiary is the one applying for the visa, they have to fill this out. Again, I was commenting on the fact that they ask information that a USC would have absolutely no way of knowing, unless you guys literally know absolutely everything about each other. It asked for his primary school street address, every address he's ever lived at in the UK, every work title he's held, and family history that i have no way of knowing. And electronic signature or no, you're clicking a box that says "under penalty of perjury this indicates that I am 'x' and am signing as such", so yeah, kind of a big deal if you sign for them, since they're supposed to be signing it.

I only say these things because the DS160 is a huge deal and I've seen two threads this week where someone got denied and someone else got put into AP for it being the slightest bit incorrect.

Actually, it is possible for the USC to fill it out. My fiancé and I spent a few hours going over all the questions together because he doesn't speak English. We discussed every answer in Russian, and I had printed a copy out and wrote the answers in English as we went along. When it was time to fill it out online, I filled it out then saved it and he went in and signed his name.

I did the same thing for my fiancé. My cousin who had her K1 approved, he is now here, did it too. If you don't tell them you did it, they don't know. As long as you have the info and permission from the beneficiary, it is fine! :) I had my fiancé log in and sign it from his phone so that it is accurate but my cousin did not and they were totally fine.

Not 100% correct. Yes the petitioner (or another third party) can help fill it out, but the beneficiary must sign it.
