I think at least 15 between July/Aug filers that I've seen posting frequently.

My NOA2 was Sept 15 and I got my case # Oct 5. I guess I got lucky and squeaked by in the 3 week window

Me too! I'm sure I would've made some mistakes with this process that would've caused delays were it not for all the advice here! Not to mention everyone here gets it. They get it that you can indeed truly love a person who lives on another continent and know them well enough to get married, and they get how hard it is to wait!

Yeah, this part has been tough. People are so surprised when I say he's moving in December and we're getting married that weekend, they're like "shouldn't you wait? why are you in a hurry?" like I've done my waiting all year!! MARRY ME ALREADY lol! And they don't realize the nature of the visa or the visa process, and that it's not a "try and buy". So frustrating.

Hello August filers! I've been following this discussion to get clarification and help for the next steps for me.

So I am also waiting for the NVC case number and letter. I received my NoA2 on 09/24/16 so it's been over a week. In the meaning time while I am waiting I'm seeing in other discussions that documents have to be sent to my fiancé? I wanted to get clarifications if these forms get sent to the NVC and then they sent the packet ? How does it work? I'm a bit confused with the next steps. I have my tax forms and bank statements but I am not sure if it's too early to request a letter for my employer ? Any advice will help as I don't want to waste time while I am waiting.

It's never too early to gather evidence for your I-134; the form doesn't expire, and if you're worried you can just wait to sign and date the bottom til the day you mail it to your fiance (just don't forget to sign it!!)

Your country will have specific requirements for the embassy interview, so I would check your Regional Discussion forum and/or Google the embassy itself to see what they say to prepare.

I think you should get NVC anytime from now..

yeah this is the 3rd week , i better im tired calling interviews in january are already opening , cant waste time, im only 62 days into this k1 process so im still gratefull i got this far so fast

Hi, one of them it's me. still waiting my NOA2. I got RFE on 27th October. I should get my hard copy for RFE soon. I don't know what they need yet. So worried.

you should google search your embassy and go directly to their website , so that u can compare whats on here and on the site of your embassy

i saw in the other forums people were calling the wrong number and that calling the right one they got their case... i wonder what the representatives at the other number tell people???

They just say sorry we don't have your case number and that is it. I was one of those people, lol. They're clearly miseducated and should know to tell us this is the wrong number.

That is so annoying!! I'm so sorry what a pain. I'm glad you were able to get yours from the right number eventually. They need to redefine the K1 because we're the only one that's "nonimmigrant" but processed as an "immigrant" visa.

Check your embassy often...I checked mine before its all booked in December..But I checked back again somehow its open December 1st again...

I heard people said, sometimes its booked and end of month. its reopen again..

My friends book theirs in December 18th...Somehow embassy open dates December 2nd and 3rd...

They wish they didn't book their before

I am booking my schedule this week once my fiancee have her police report and verify my embassy received it
