Hi,

I just got a date for my interview (Boston office, 7/5)

The guys in the field office tried to interview me when i had an infopass yesterday but the system was down (no surprise there...) - Such nice people in the field office.

Sup guys, I just got like 10 emails with an update on my case ... ( weird since I already am Naturalized ) it says that "On May 22, 2017, we approved your Form N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, Receipt Number  XXXXXXXXX "

Went to the website and says that the "On May 22, 2017, we approved your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number IOEXXXXXXXXXX. We will mail your approval notice"

Did anyone receive this as well ?  I'm just intrigued as to what they think they approved ... anyways,  I'm still waiting for my passport since I did regular processing.

I just got an update saying the same thing, but I naturalized last week ("On May 30, 2017"). I hope ELIS hasn't undone our entire process.

Conundrum time...

So, I keep getting those little nudges on my account that there's new information, but there never is - it just says the same "we have sent you an oath ceremony date" message. No PDF.

I mentioned before that the officer at my interview was going to see if he could get me into this Wednesday's oath ceremony, but he couldn't confirm at the time.

Given that there's no PDF and any physical mail may not reach me in time - do you think I should assume that he DID manage to get me into that one and I should just show up? They'll have a list of people right there, right? I figure worst case, I'm not on their mega list on the day and I just go home again.

What do you think? :)

Call the court and check if they have your name on the list. Also -  Every day, your local field office will allow a few people to walk in for infopass. You should be able to do that if you get there early enough. They will be able to print out your letter for you.

Call what court?  The oaths in my area are done in a theatre, and they only list the generic USCIS helpline number for information.

Don't show up to an oath ceremony without the letter from USCIS, they won't let you in and they won't have your Naturalization Certificate printed out which what you need in the end.  Go to your FO Infopass and inquire about getting access to an oath ceremony hardcopy.

If I _am_ meant to be there, of course they'll have my certificate. My concern is that I simply haven't received the letter in a timely manner because of the short window of time, not that I'm not supposed to be there and I'm trying to get in early or something. I don't want to miss an appointment I'm supposed to be at, which is was wondering about showing up and asking at the door.

I don't have time to infopass before Wednesday morning. San Francisco books appointments 2 weeks out.

You are required to have the USCIS Oath Ceremony letter in your hand, that's the issue.  I guess it won't hurt to show up, but it sounds like it could be a lot of hassle, can't you call USCIS tomorrow and demand to speak to an L2 officer?  They may have some advice for this unique situation.

Of course I'll try calling them, but we know how useful the information line tends to be. ;)

Ask to speak to an L2 officer about an urgent issue with an oath ceremony Wednesday, the L2 officer can give you the best advice on what to do for a little piece of mind at least.

You're an IOE filer; you should be able to download the first page of the letter online, while the reverse side is generic. Google the number of the form online, find a PDF copy of the reverse side with the same edition date, then combine your first page and the generic reverse side into one PDF file. Finally, print the file on both side of the paper. Problem solved.

Like I already said, there is not a digital copy of it in ELIS. I don't know why. All my previous notices have been available there. This one is not.

BUT, YAY. My USPS Informed Delivery (I just discovered this service on another thread on VJ, it's sort of magic) shows that a hard copy of a letter from USCIS is due for delivery today. That'll probably clear everything up for me. phew.

I received an e-mail to update the password to my account because the old one would get expired in 15 days, so I went and made a new one to keep my account accessible in case I will ever need it. Then in a few days I received a message from USCIS to my e-mail box.

There are no updates at this time

"We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time. We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on March 1, 2017."

Funny, I already got naturalized and there is no case open. I don't know what triggered this automatic feedback. I was wondering and went to look into my account and my case is closed out, of course.
