Hey gang!

Quick update. I had my interview today in San Francisco. I'd been really stressing about it, I'd read some negative reviews about this office and was ready for it to be a really horrible experience, but it was great.

Security were friendly and straight-forward, interview was early! My appointment was 12:45, but I was really early (I walked faster than I expected to - nervous energy - from my house) and they got me in for my interview a whole half hour early. I was basically all done by the time my actual scheduled spot came around.

Was interviewed by a very nice young officer - he asked me all the usual stuff, I had a bunch of additional travel since August to add that he made the amendments for (he was even able to verify my trips via his access to the global entry system). I also got my wedding date wrong by a day on the form! Oops! But we caught it and corrected it. Generally a nice, friendly, chatty experience. I left with a "Congratulations" and recommendation for approval piece of paper and hopefully I'm going to get into the June 7th oath ceremony in Oakland (he had suggested one in July first, but said that I might just squeeze in to the earlier one), which'll let me get the passport sorted before my next international trip in July. Else, I'll probably have to bump it out to September to get a window big enough to do the passport without giving myself a stress ulcer.

All in all, SO GLAD to have this bit over! It's really not as bad as I thought! I got the email notification of the change in application status as I was leaving the building (changed to "we're sending you the oath date" message).

Question: Does anyone happen to know if the appointment for the Oath will come in via the ELIS system (like the previous notifications for appointments)? Or is it just sent by mail?

Congratulations!!!! I think it might vary from office to office. I got an e-mail directly from my officer with the oath ceremony letter attached and then I got a notification that my account was updated. But then again my naturalization process was a bit different.

June 20 is my oathtaking in Pasadena Convention Center. I haven't received the physical mail yet but it is uploaded in the ELIS system. I can't wait for this to be over.

Yes went to passport agency, can get a passport in 24 hours to 3 days, the regular expedite fee of $60 is about 2 weeks.

Sup guys, I just got like 10 emails with an update on my case ... ( weird since I already am Naturalized ) it says that "On May 22, 2017, we approved your Form N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXX "

Went to the website and says that the "On May 22, 2017, we approved your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number IOEXXXXXXXXXX. We will mail your approval notice"

Did anyone receive this as well ? I'm just intrigued as to what they think they approved ... anyways, I'm still waiting for my passport since I did regular processing.

I just want to pitch in! I'm in Seattle. Did a walk in a suburb since they open late, had virtually no wait on may 1 at the end of the day ,and I didn't expedite it. I received my passport on May 15th so it took exactly 10 business days. I've heard not every city has passport centers (my aunt from Colorado received hers in the mail from seattle) so I don't know if the process is the same everywhere else. But I was surprised by how little time it took!

I received my passport on May 15th so it took exactly 10 business days. I've heard not every city has passport centers (my aunt from Colorado received hers in the mail from seattle) so I don't know if the process is the same everywhere else. But I was surprised by how little time it took!

I'm in Cali, when we applied for my daughter and my husband, it took close to 4 weeks before we received their passports.
