N-400 August 2016 Filers

Update the progress in my case.

 

I did my interview on 05/16 in San Francisco FO. It totally took about 40 minutes. Test was very easy, but the officer went through my case and my recent international travels carefully, so it took a long time.

 

After that, I was told my green card category code has a typo, so the officer said they would check it and send my a written decision.

 

Today, my case status got updated to be "We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review." on 05/17 and "oath ceremony will be scheduled" in egov.uscis.gov. 

 

But on myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov, it shows "Oath Ceremony Scheduled. USCIS has scheduled your oath ceremony and will mail you the appointment notice." and the last update is on 05/18/2017.

Repeat Biometrics: Had my biometrics done again today at Newark  after getting them done in Sep last year. Feel like I am at the back of the line again. Anyone else get a repeat biometrics?

anyone got the notice by mail for ceremony at may 23 at LA CONVENTION CENTER yet?

 

if I have not got the notice in mail by the ceremony date, what should I do? Thanks for your advice :(( 

@andynguyen2409  So far there are 3 people in this thread that are going to the LACC Oath Ceremony on May 23rd ,  myself being one of them.

 

I got my letter 6 days after the PDF was uploaded.

 

Did you get the PDF uploaded for the Oath Ceremony ?

 

Have you asked your neighbors if they got the letter by mistake ? 

 

Have you asked the mail man about it ?

I got the notice letter uploaded last Wednesday May 10.. today is Thursday, so it has been a week ... hope I will get it today or tomorrow - hoping hoping hoping ... maybe I am little bit over worrying ... just hope this stressful N400 process ends soonest

Like I mentioned, ask your mail man , the neighbors, since they should have mailed it a day or two after you saw the PDF and if it says May 23rd oath ceremony , you need to get it  , worst case, you print the PDF and make it there, since you still have to fill the back of the letter with some questions... but those don't show up onf the PDF.

Don't worry, the test is very simple, the test itself only lasted for about 1 minutes.

 

I only remember that one question is what is religion freedom and another one is when the constitution was written, what state boarders Canada.

 

The officer had some kind of light accent, but the worse is that the officer had bad pollen allergy, so her voice wasn't very clear; the worst is that I had pollen allergy too. So we talked about how to relieve our symptom.

egov.uscis.gov updated the status of my case to be "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed".

Hi Guys, I had my interview today  and I passed  but  the problem  is  the officer  cannot  make a decision  because  my file is  not there,  all the documentation I submitted including  the  N400  form. He said  he  requested  for it to be sent  and  that's  the only thing why  he  cannot  decide cause  he  needs  to  review  my  application but he doesn't  have it.

 

Anyone experience this?   The ELIS  system  is  really  messed  up.

Don't worry about it, be glad you passed, congratulations!  You missed the May 23 oath ceremony anyways so it doesn't matter if it even takes another month to approve you as you will just make the next oath ceremony (I think in Ontario or Pasadena).
