Anyone having any luck with the San Francisco office?  My wife did the biometrics on 9/14/16, and we've heard nothing since... we emailed and in late Feb they said "Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for interviews at their local Field Office. Interview appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the Field Office.", but over a month later we're still waiting.  I know someone who applied literally at the exact same time and got their citizenship months ago, the waiting is killing us.  Should we try talking to a tier 2 officer or keep waiting?  Thanks for the help/advice!

I do not know how schedules are done.  i did biometrics end of October in Oakland; interviewed in January in San Francisco and am already done (oath ceremony). So it could be that after biometrics, maybe the background check took longer than other applicants.  When Background check results are back, it is probably then a case of finding a slot for interview.  Waiting is tough expecially if you have travel plans.

I have the same pd as you, but I did my FP at the end of Oct. On 03/16, I went to the infopass in SanFrancisco, I was told the processing time was 07/29. So it is close. The interview notice may be received on any day.

I was also told that if the processing time passed my pd, I could go to infopass again to ask for inquiry, instead of submitting inquiry online.

But the processing time on uscis web is June 16. the staff of uscis just use this time as standard when i called them for case status. it will take many month to get to aug 19 on the web according uscis officer. When you plan to go to infopass if we are not lucky and did not get interview letter promptly?

That's why I feel that infopass is a little bit more helpful than calling: the local FO can tell you the current processing time, instead of the processing time as of 2 months ago.

The infopass lady suggested me going to infopass in mid of April, if no interview notice is received before that. I'll go on 04/11.

ok I would go to infopass in middle of April also if i did not get a interview letter. I went to infopass twice. the staff served me in local FO were a guy or Asian lady respectively. both them were not nice and did not provide useful information to me.

What questions did you ask? Last time, I was lucky, the lady told me some helpful information before I asked.

My BC has been cleared since Nov. too, confirmed by L2 officers multiple times. Even with the lagging processing time from the web, it has already passed my PD date when I do the days calculation. I remember that by the end of January, USCIS announced that they would resume the Elis system. So I assumed that they have fixed the problem, and the process would be accelerated. Well well well, by far, we (typically means IOE filers' PD around or after mid Aug) as the last group of the last year's Elis systems filers are still being delayed. Other big offices like NYC and Chicago, they have already processed people of Aug 20 or later, but we are still waiting to hear something. So there is no excuse for overloaded working loads or anything. 230 days has passed, my neighbor's baby was born last Sept. and he hits 26 in already, man.

I just asked him about case status. he said you are not current yet. just wait. nothing i can do about it.  then it is over. I was disappointed.

Hi there,

My boyfriend filed his N-400 application on August 11, 2016. He completed the fingerprint and biometrics appointment in September, and the application status has been "in process" since. He filed in the Miami Field Office.

Can anyone share their experience in Miami? Online it says the office is processing applications from May 12, 2016. It has been in the same month (May) for over two months.

We have a big trip coming up in June but are afraid to leave the country without knowing where the application stands. When we reached out online to learn more about the case, we received a letter stating his case was still processing. Any information you can share would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you.

Their processing time is 8.5 months, so he should hear from them around end of April first of May, if you have plans in June I would wait to see when your interview date is as it sound like it might be in June.

I'm at Chicago field office. I was told I was in line a week or two ago and have a PD of 8/12. Still nothing for me.
