sorry, another question regarding the interview:  do we need to know ALL possible answers or one of them?

E.g:

What does the Constitution do?

▪ sets up the government

▪ defines the government

▪ protects basic rights of Americans

do i need to know all three or is it enough to know that it protects the basic rights of Americans?

I had the same question before and I did this way: the questions that clearly contained several answers and not just options, I learned all the answers, for example like the one you mentioned. It is obvious that you can't drop one of them because in this particular questions all those three sentences is the full answer. Other questions that asked to name one or two answers, I learned answers selectively.

It depends on how the question is phrased.

If they ask, "Under our Constitution, some powers belong to the states. What is one power of the states?"

They provide schooling and education. (But State and local governments also provide protection and safety. States give drivers' licenses, and approve zoning and land use.) So just one answer.

But if they ask, "What are two rights in the Declaration of Independence?"

You can answer with any of the two combinations of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

How I am practicing is I give my Husband 10 to 15 flash cards (that I made with all 100 questions) everyday and he asks me all the questions randomly throughout the day. If I get any of the questions wrong he marks the card and it goes into the pile again. I am on a 20 day unbroken streak. It's a fun game because both my husband and I love history and civics.

Hello,

After waiting patiently and checking status online almost every week I am finally getting anxious about my N-400 application. I completed the biometrics on 8/23/2016 but my status online was never changed from "Biometric appointment scheduled". Today I tried creating the online e-request from my account but after filling all information it said "You application is currently within posted processing time and an inquiry may not be created".

Its been 216 days since the receipt notice and I dont even know if USCIS has received by fingerprints. They dont allow me to create an inquiry, so what am I supposed to do now?

That's what Mine said for a long time.  My finger print appointment was back on 8/19/2016.  Seems you're on the same timeline as me.  However, the website for me recently updated to say something slightly different... I posted a pic a few pages back on this forum like a week ago.  I think I'm in line now to Get a letter for an interview appointment.  Still waiting though, but at least it changed finally.    I hear IOE's are going a lot slower.  Like we're pushed back about 1+ month still.  Anyway, good luck.

Phoenix, as of today which was just updated on the USCIS website, is approving applications from May 19 in Phoenix.  So if you filed August 5 you unfortunately have a ways to go.

That's frustrating, I don't understand why they are moving so slow.

how did you apply? Under 3 or 5 years rule?

I'm  thinking that people are moving fast under 3 year rule.

I really will start prying for progress. I used to be very positive about this process.

Wish you luck and wish you to receive you interview soon.

I called last tuesday  and they say I have to wait, nothing they can do. I filed Aug 19. Sept 12 was my biometrics.

Today I tried to create an E-request but they won't let me, saying my case is still under normal processing time.

Yes, the e-request does work with my case too. A lot of people got their interview already and a lot are still waiting. Some offices are moving faster than other, and mine (Dallas) is from the slowest possible....
