I would at least like to get some explanation for the delay. If the IOE cases have issues, then why not explain what they are? Why not switch to NBC processing if the IOE procedures are not working (apparently IOE cases are fully digital). This is incredibly frustrating. 

 

I would maybe accept "general delay" as an excuse if everyone was also getting 99 delayed. But clearly the 3-4 month timeline is working fine for many filers who filed well after us.

I've had the same experience here in Seattle. A family friend sent his paperwork around October and he's been a citizen for at least a couple of months. It was extremely quick for him. Not sure what happened to the August filers but it looks like we've been left behind.

I am a late July (Seattle) and I am all done as of 2/22 with the same day oath.  A friend of mine (also Seattle) who is a week behind me is almost done (next week, no oath on the same day due to system issues last week).  You should get your turn soon :-)

My interview is in early April, I'm grateful that things have moved along for me. But I'm still frustrated that it took so long and that there are people who still don't have their interviews yet. In the grand scheme of things it's not a huge deal but the system here in Seattle has been super erratic...

Hi all, here is the updated list -- i just went back to page 58 and moved forward. I know that this is not ALL updates that were given since page 58, but I did not add anybody to the list who hasn't been on there already (my apologies to everybody who I "skipped" -- gotta spend my workday wisely  )

It seems, April 5th is going to be a big day in this forum! (not because I have my interview, but several of us will!)

I read today they might be capping the H1B visa for 2017 earlier than usual and they are so backlogged they aren't doing expedited services anymore.

 

I've had no updates on my case, it's still at "in-line for interview."

I don't understand why my message was deleted and how my comment was off topic. I described my experience. OK, I will try to be short. I would recommend to learn really well all the answers and the questions as well to comprehend better in case the IO has a heavy accent or talks fast. And if you know all the 100 questions perfectly, it will be easy for you to understand. Other than that there is nothing to be worried about concerning the test as they won't ask anything beyond 100 questions. Also, pay attention to similar questions.  I would confuse some of them. Good luck!

Just as a follow-up question:

 

it is NOT multiple choice, but you have to know the correct answers -- is that correct?

 

 

for learning purposes: i downloaded "US Citizenship Test 2017" by Leon Zhang and I like that the phone actually asks you the question instead of just showing it to you with possible answers. -- However, IF you get the app, make sure that you don't allow the caller ID function (i have absolutely no idea how or why it is included)

No, this is not multiply choice. If you give 6 correct answers to the questions, you won't be asked more.

sorry, another question regarding the interview:  do we need to know ALL possible answers or one of them?

 

E.g:

What does the Constitution do?

▪ sets up the government

▪ defines the government

▪ protects basic rights of Americans

 

do i need to know all three or is it enough to know that it protects the basic rights of Americans?
