N-400 August 2016 Filers

This is actually the "glitch" status change: it happened when you're placed in line for interview. The real status change will indicate the notice has been MAILED. My account has been in this status for months...

Thanks for sharing, I don't mind if it's a glitch, just wasn't sure what had happened to my case. If it's still in progress or in line, I'll just patiently wait for the interview notice to be mailed out! Thank you!

Hi all,

I just received an email saying there was an update to my account. I went online and there was nothing changed. I called them, and i finally got in touch with someone and they said as of 2/5/ 17, they processed my application and sent me a letter for an interview. is this a face to face interview where i have to take my test?

I received a email update last night that oath ceremony was scheduled. No pdf yet.

Priority Date: 08/08/2016
Biometrics date: 08/29/2016
Receive interview notice: 12/09/2016
Interview date: 01/11/2016

Finger print (first time) - Aug 31, 2016

Finger print (second time) - Dec 22, 2016

I called yesterday and the agent said I am still in the processing time frame. And my field office, Omaha NE is working on June 24, 2016 files.

Should I call them again next week or take infopass and ask or just wait? Please advise.

Sorry, I don't really know either, but here are "my" questions:

 

did they tell you what your processing time frame is?

IF you call / infopass them, I would ask how your second FP impacts the processing of your application? Does it put you to the back of the line again?

Hi! I don't think you need to bother them, just be patient and wait. If you go there or call it won't change anything nor will it speed up anything. The reason they scheduled you another fingerprint appointment means that your first fingerprints could not be processed so they asked you to come for the second appointment. Now they need time to process them and do the security checks with the new fingerprints. I'd suggest to wait at least until the end of Feb. It is been only over a month since your bio appointment

 

Or indeed, if you call or go there, ask the questions mentioned by EastCoast_Guy.  Let's hope they will let you know how long the processing time could take if they will

They did not tell me the time frame. The agent said I am in their time frame. And Omaha, NE office was processing June 24 files.

I did not ask how was my second finger print impact for my application. I will ask when I call them again. May be end of Feb ...
