Hi everyone, I've a quick question,

 

I have noticed that some peoples' status changes from "Biometrics Appointment Scheduled" to "In Line for Interview" before they have their interview scheduled - I have also seen people just go straight from "Biometrics" to having their interview scheduled. Does anyone know why some people go or don't go through this middle phase? 

 

Also, when I spoke to an L2 a couple weeks ago he said my file was with my FO waiting for a slot to open up for my interview. When I asked if I had passed the background check he said he couldn't access that info. But judging from what I've seen, once your file gets sent to the FO you should have cleared the background check and be technically "in line for interview." I just don't get why my file number doesn't reflect this when I check the status.

 

Could we get a show of hands for people whose status was changed to "in line" and those who went straight to getting their interview letter? Maybe there's a correlation.

I'm a July filer also in Seattle and still waiting for my interview to be scheduled.

 

I noticed that applications go from Biometrics to Interview Scheduled right away, specifically in Seattle. I guess they just don't bother with updating the status until the interview gets scheduled.

Our status changed to "Interview Scheduled" on the log in area. The screen where you can check the status without logging in stayed on Biometrics Appointment forever.

I had my oath ceremony this morning held at my local uscis office. Finally, this whole immigration process is finally done. I am one proud American citizen. Good luck to everyone and Congratulations to all of us.

My biometric appointment was on Sept 7th 2016. 

 

Can someone tell me what happened to my case? I haven't received any RFE or interview notice so far.

I would assume that this means that you will get an interview letter soon
