No change in mine as well. Same status saying they got my application and that it's in process :(

Have you called them yet to see if you're in line?

I submitted an inquiry and got the same message as before: "Your application information has been entered into the system...."

So I guess that's good.

Timeline

My "interview scheduled" update has been there since Oct 31. I called as soon as I saw it a month ago and the tier 2 officer told me my case was in my local office in line for an interview and to call back if it is not scheduled within 30 days. I called again yesterday (a month later) and the officer told me the same thing: in line for interview, and they don't have a timeline for when it might be scheduled. He also said to call back if I don't hear in the next 30 days. I am wondering how long they will keep doing this! He said they're catching up because they received over a million n-400 applications because it's an election year. *sigh*

Our case was showing the "Interview Scheduled" status since Nov 7th but never received a letter in the mail. On November 28th the case was updated with the same "Interview Scheduled" status this time with Nov 28th as the date. Not sure if we'll actually receive a letter this time or if this will happen again. If the letter actually comes, not sure how much notice we'll have between receipt of the letter and the interview date.

Nope, didn't call.

What is the timeline I'm suppose to follow? 90 days before I call ?

I called back in October, I would call as soon as you have the chance. Only an L2 officer can properly look into the system and answer if you are in line, so ask for an L2.

I think it's down to our local field office now. I looked up ours (Charlotte), and it says they are processing April. They are all VERY far behind this year.

I just looked up Charlotte, and yes, they are behind, but also that's "only" where they were on September 30th, that means they are only a "bit" behind (they were processing April 24 on that day), so it's 5 month and 6 days. If they are roughly sticking to their apparent 5 month timeline, then we as August filers should be processed some time this month (i am assuming that it will be next year though ...)

But officially they should open my case only at the end of November. Do I count 5 months from there or from beginning of August?

Both options the 5 monts mark is still far wawy...

Asking to see if you are in line can be done at any time. It's not the same as like, requesting some sort of special attention to your case.

You can also submit on inline inquiry in the "Help" Section in your ELIS account, and they should respond within like a day. if the response is "Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for interviews...." that usually means that you are in line. The best way to ensure if you are though is to simply call and ask for an L2.

I made my call about 1 month after bio metrics, and was told I am in line. I'm just worried that something changed, as I know of another person who was told they were in line, but called again recently to find out they were still under "investigation" and they ALSO didn't receive the glitch notification.

I, for one, will likely be calling again at some point in the near future.

I asked my congressman to submit an expedite request for me, but I think he did an inquiry instead, and the response is that "you're in line for interview"--I guessed that much... Go figure, lol. At least, the congressman's office was super prompt about it, though.

Why do you need to expedite it?

I got my LPR status based on same-sex marriage, and I'm applying for citizenship for the same reason. With the anti-LGBT platform of Trump's presidency looming around the corner, marriage equality along with its related rights may be changed, but I understand it's likely to stay intact for a while knowing how American legislature works, and I doubt USCIS could take back benefits already granted just because of a change of laws.

My second reason is that I simply don't want to see Trump's welcome video at the ceremony. We have to show our tax returns to qualify, so it's kinda insulting to have us welcomed by a president that has openly bragged about not paying taxes.

I know my reasons are unconventional, but I have to try.

I had friends who decided to get married two weeks ago for the exact same reason. They are quite worried that things will change so they wanted to go ahead and get married before they no longer were able to do so. You are not alone in feeling that way but I doubt USCIS will expedite. Fingers crossed it happens soon!

It depends on where your local field office is. For East_CoastGuy and Tigerflower, it is Charlotte, NC, which states they are taking 5 months. Where is your local field office?

I called USCIS today and while they didn't give me an answer regarding my file (talked to L1) i got an answer regarding the 5 month: it is connected to your priority date, my priority date is Aug. 9th, for USCIS Hartford, CT processing takes 5 month (sorry TIgerflower, I am not in NC). That means, that my 5 month are up on January 9th, after that it would be considered late.

Don't know if that is of help to anybody, but it is in line with my (probably all of our) experience with USCIS -- patience is everything (but i completely understand why some want to have it expedited!
