N-400 August 2016 Filers

Called and spoke with a L2 officer. I asked her about the IOE delays versus NBC applications. She got a little defensive and said where did you hear that. I said well, something that is on the forums and that it appears that NBC is moving more quickly. She said that it is not true and timeline with individual cases can vary due to many different factors and the processing time at the different field offices can vary as well.

Well, nothing different from what I have read here on the forum.

My file is still with the NBC and she said when it time for interview date to be set it will be sent to my local field office which in my case is Norfolk.

I did find out that my fbi check is done. Based on what she said I expect that my interview will be Nov/Dec.

I've found a few people with LIN in search. I'm pretty sure it has to do with my service center where I filed to because we are military - Lincoln, Nebraska

I feel your pain, Nevyna. It is what it is, and we have been dealt this hand of cards...hold the course and we'll all help each other wait it out.

@Nevyna I feel the same way but like @Tigerflower says we'll help each other.

BTW I read on another forum that late May IOE filers are starting to get their appointments scheduled for early November ... so all we can do is wait and be patient.

Wish I had known about this when speaking to the L2 officer. I would have definitely referenced this and said from one of your USCIS communications that ELIS is ineffective. Lost opportunity.
