Feel your pain sir. Did you also open a case with the CIS Ombudsman also ? I had done it and heard from them in about 40 days but by that time Interview was scheduled so they closed my file. (although I am now stuck waiting after the interview, luckily my congressional aide contact has been proactive in following up with me and is offering to help if I dont hear anything back in a week. Try to push on ur congressional contacts some more) .

My congressional aide is probably my best bet.  I am going to give USCIS a week to give me that call, the one I was supposed to get yesterday, and then ask the aide to make another inquiry/request.  The aide has been more than willing to help, but I am not always sure how much, or if, it rattles USCIS's cage.  But that is about the only tool I have left to use.  I did sign up for another InfoPass on oct 12, which I will use, if nothing moves.  Again, not sure if that 5 hour drive is worth it, but at least I feel I am doing something...  I have not tried the Ombudsman, yet.

Mine says the same thing, as of Sept 15.  Not sure what is said before, believe it was the same thing.  Had my InfoPass this Tuesday.  IO was friendly and all and said "she was going to take care of it" and have her manager call me the following day, i.e. yesterday.  Still waiting for that phone call....  Haven't given up that I may receive this call, but starting to wonder if she was just passifying me to get me out of the office as fast as she could....

It is possible, but if it was an actual officer I think that may mean something.   I FINALLY got an update in my status TODAY!  I was so excited to see it updated to Interview scheduled in the actual USCIS case check site and not just ELIS.  It says they will mail an appointment but when I went to ELIS to see if the letter is available, there is nothing so they may have not sent it yet.  Or it may not be updated.  I hope that this really means my appointment is scheduled now.  So there seems to be hope

I don't want to rain on your parade, but I suggest you don't let up on what ever pressure you can keep on them.  Mine has said "will mail you...." for 10 months now.  But since there is no rime or reason how these things evolve, you may get one next week.

I completely agree with you.  That is also what showed in ELIS for me since last November.  However, they had changed back, and now it is showing as an actual status.  USCIS case check changed from Biometrics scheduled to Interview scheduled.  And ELIS actually shows that the Interview was scheduled in the History section.  What is your status when you check USCIS website?

Hi Guys,

Long time lurker but I finally want to show some progress so I made an account on here.

Dallas Office

08/23/16 - Application Received

08/27/16 - Biometrics Scheduled

09/14/16 - Biomterics Appointment

09/26/17 - Interview Scheduled (took 3 days for the letter to show up online FYI)

10/31/17 - Interview Appointment

My actions in the last month (September):

- Call Customer Service

- Email Congressional Aide

- e-Request for Case Outside Normal Processing Time (Dallas Office is one of the slowest, if not the slowest, in the nation).

So there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The view on their site has changed a bit, and now it just says "biometrics reviewed," same on ELIS now, so not very promissing...

I had the same thing, but a few days later it changed to "We scheduled your interview" and a few days later the appointment letter showed up in the documents section.

So at this point it is just waiting a few days hopefully.

I agree.  Mine also had only changed to Biometrics reviewed, but just yesterday changed to Appointment scheduled in both systems.  I received the text and emails with notifications about these changes.  Now I am just waiting for the document to show.  Funny because the current ELIS status says "You can view your letter in the Documents section" but when I go to check, the letter is not there yet.    I say yours will be updated too in the next few days too Emil.  :)

I will keep my finger crossed...  Thanks for the feedback.

Lol. There IS a chance!  In fact, my letter finally showed and the interview is on Nov 2nd.  I’m hoping to get a oath soon after (assuming it’s approved) but I am not holding my breath

I can't believe this thread is still on top; it must be really frustrating for everyone who hasn't been naturalized yet...

I just have a quick question: I became a U.S. citizen in May, got my passport, and have since traveled to Canada once... Nevertheless, I still keep receiving automatic e-mails from USCIS that are titled "Your Case Is Still Being Reviewed." They always came around 4:15am every other Tuesday. I received the first one the day of my naturalization ceremony.

It's probably just another bug of ELIS, but I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and if anyone thinks I should contact USCIS about it. Thanks.

P.S.

1. In between these e-mails, I received a status-change notification that says my case has been closed (it has changed back to "interview scheduled" with their latest website update);

2. For a while, every time I log onto my USCIS account, I receive a status-change e-mail when there's no change;

3. If I use USCIS home page's case status look-up, it just says "approved..."

Got an update this morning that my case went to Oath Ceremony notice mailed. Don't know the date yet, as the USCIS website is down and PDF is not available. It's been a gruelling experience and I am happy to see light at the end of the tunnel. My child is going to be born around Jan 15 overseas so hoping I will be citizen before then to claim him as a citizen instead of having to endure USCIS paperwork again.

I wish those waiting all the best.

N400 filed: Aug 16 2016

From the date my letter was sent and the interview it was two months. Hopefully you have your interview in December so you don't have to worry about your child.
