Got Case number from NVC, what next?

Good day everyone! Praise God, just got our MNL case number today… would i be able to schedule an interview and set the medical with my case number? or will have to wait from the embassy to send some instructions for my fiance? I tried to check CEAC for the status and i don't think it's there yet? (says invalid number , double checked with NVC , and it was the right one ) can you give me some advice please? thank you so much...

You need your case and invoice number to be able to enter ceac.state.gov and pay the fees and fill out the Ds261 and Ds260 form. You have to finish 6 steps in order for them to be able to set up an interview.

1. Pay AOS fee

2. Submit Ds261

3. Send IV and AOS packages

4. Pay IV fee

5. Submit Ds260

6. Wait for case complete

How long does it takes to get an email and hard copy from NVC from the time they received and assigned a number for you case?

No one can say for sure but typically it's some times it takes 30-45 days recently and no guarantee that it comes. Best thing to do is call and get you mnl# and follow the steps at my website. You don't need anything from NVC right now just your case number. This step saves all that time waiting.

I've read from forums that the NVC letter is required before the medical appointment can be set and it is required as well during the interview. If it doesnt come on time and the website says "It is Ready", can we possibly just take a screenshot of the website or something? I wonder.

This is an important step in the process. After you receive the text message that your case has been approved and it's now being forwarded to USEM Philippines for processing, it's not necessary to wait for this letter informing you that your case will be forwarded to USEM (United States Embassy Manila) as in most cases it never arrives, but go ahead and get your MNL# from NVC (details below). After receiving the MNL# you can begin to make your interview appointment. You will not need the hard copy for your medical or for the actual interview so don't be concerned but you will need it for AOS processing after you are married. More on that later. Take a screen shot of the confirmation for your interview appoint and print off the confirmation page from your DS-160. You will need both for your medical and interview.
