Thank you so much for this. I will be contacting my lawyer today to verify this response you received. I really appreciate it

Yesterday, I emailed the embassy if I can send the Packet 3 and they replied with a "YES."

But what I wonder now about is, if we send these documents for Packet 3, then how do we send the same documents for Packet 4? They have about the same list of items needed to be submitted.

No i havent. We are going to bring documents to the interview as advised by my lawyer. I am just waiting for the interview date so that we can schedule the medical.

Anyone know how long it takes for the consulate to issue an interview date after the case is in ready status?

What I know is that, the Embassy will only schedule the interview if they have already reviewed Packet 3. If you don't submit the documents then they will not schedule your interview date. Tsk.Tsk.Tsk.

You submit copies only of documents in P3

I am afraid not.

They asked us to submit a few photocopied ones and a lot of original ones. I will have to review the Packet 4 and see what it says.

That's great!

I went on ahead and mailed my Packet 3 Documents. My fiance advised me to do and I agreed with him. :-) I just hope and pray that I didn't miss anything. :-) God be with my package.

Ok, P4 is what you bring with you to the interview right? So anything they already have you will not need to bring with you... I think. Also if you send copies of something they wanted originals of in P3 you can bring them with to the interview.

That's right! I went through Packet 4 again online and read again each word carefully to make sure that I understand everything. It mentioned something there to see Packet 3 for details of the documents asked.

Anyone received an interview date yet or still says ready?

Nope, not yet. I am not sure if they have received my Packet 3 documents yet. According to the Embassy, they will only schedule my interview after the consular section has finished reviewing my Packet 3 documents. Will keep praying here for this process. How about you? Any updates?

I believe the way it works is like this: we respond to Packet 3 and the CO reviews what we submit. Then the Embassy sends an email regarding Packet 4, which includes the interview date and time. Several people on VJ have recommended to me that we don't have to wait to receive Packet 3 from the Embassy before we send in our documents. We can apparently do that at any point we are ready. Some people have said they never received Packet 3 (due to Post Office).

This is correct! This is also how I understand the K1 Visa processing here in Thailand.

Sent your Packet 3 documents yet?

Just an update:

I received my Packet 3 today. Yay! How about the rest of you guys? God bless and Happy Weekend! We are almost there. Let's just keep our faith and trust in God knowing that He will continue to lead and carry us through. God bless!

It is so obvious that you Bensh and you ducatiguysd and I are on the exact same schedule! So let's keep each other updated every step of the way. I'm not sure if Noom received his Packet 3 on Friday, but he will mail his Packet 3 on Monday or Tuesday. I'll be curious to see how long it takes to get the interview email. When I look at other recent timelines, it appears to be about 10 days after the Embassy receives Packet 3. So we'll see!

This is so exciting :)

I know, right? Very exciting indeed! I will let you know when I get my interview email. They have received my package on Friday. I sent through EMS. Two days to send. :-)

No update on my end. I see the file was touched on the 17th but still says ready

Yup, same here. So, not sending Packet 3 Docs?
