You always get the initial checklist with the welcome letter and you get the same one after ds 261, which is the same. but did you get a checklist after submitting everything, even after ds 260 and AOS and IV packages were submitted? If yes, then what did that checklist say?

If you haven't filed anything yet and have not filled out ds 260 or sent your packages then you have to follow what the welcome letter states.

No I haven't received any checklist after DS260 and AOS/IV package were submitted. I am looking at many CC in less than 30 days.. Hopefully I will hear something soon.

I don't know if you read the first page to this thread, there is a link to someone's experience and advice on NVC process. Since you mentioned there are documents missing even though you included them. Call NVC and speak to them. This link might help on how to approach this: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/520888-nvc-filers-november-2014/page-37#entry7335479

So to keep that post short and helpful, call and ask the rep to speak to a supervisor to look at your file carefully because you sent everything. Be polite and patient. I saw other entries where people confirmed that speaking to supervisor can help. I am wondering if that case is still true today. Can someone please confirm this?

A checklist has nothing to do with the how long a person has been married. Unfortunately nvc looses docs sometime AND unfortunately some people don't follow instructions. A checklist can be generated from anyones' mistake nvc or the person that worked on the documents. ?

Hi there! Hope you could help me here. We already sent our AOS and IV PACKET TO NVC and just got a scan date. My husband sent me the copies he had sent NVC, I just received it now. While checking his Federal income tax return and w2s, and the I-864EZ that wwas filled up I noticed something wrong. I just saw that the amount he entered for the total income for his 3 year tax returnS in I-864EZ is different from what is written in his fed tax return total income, he used the gross pay in his w2 line 1 in the I-864EZ instead of the total income in the fed tax return. To top it off, for the recent fed tax return 1040A was used, and the last 2 years 1040 form was used, was it correct for us to use the I-864EZ form? Will this give us a checklist? I really feel bad right now.

My suggestion is to send in the corrected docs asap with the aos barcoded coversheet instead of waiting for a checklist. You will have a new scan date but it will save alot of time in the long run.

So my understanding of i-864EZ is that it is easier to use if you are applying for one person to migrate, you are using the your salary alone to support the immigrating relative and you filed the i-130 for your spouse or relative (you here is your husband in this case). so if that is all true for your case then i don't think you made a mistake on the type of form to file. as far as what he filled out on the form, that I cannot say because the only time you use gross income is if you filed 1040EZ for 1040 or 1040A you use your total income (I believe) someone else can confirm that part. I am terrible at it.

If you haven't received any mail or email checklist after ds 260 and packages submitted then i will stay hopeful that you don't get one! :)

Like I said it was a theory of my own, I saw people who were married more than 2 years getting a scan date quickly and not worrying about a checklist that was serious hence I stated that.

Well your "theory" will have person wondering if thats indeed true when in fact your theory makes no sense. Stop starting nonsense.

Mrs.FC,

have you checked the guidelines for i-864EZ on USCIS? the guidelines may help you determine if all is correct. I would certainly recommend reading them before sending another form with proper information. really it is up to you.

okay why are you getting mad or worked up on a theory or opinion? I am in the same boat as everyone here. I am stating what I observed here in less than a month. give me one person who have been married more than 2 years and didn't get their case complete in less than a month or 2 months and followed the same process as newly weds? I am a newly wed, I want my husband here just as much as everyone here but however I understand that some case are different from me and will go faster based on their individual information. honestly this is a theory and an opinion that I made based on my observation. I am not started a nonsense here.

btw it makes perfect sense because those married for a long time or those staying in states do have tendency to have their cases go faster or quicker and their visa type is different too. I have seen that among people I know in person. oh and it also differs by country. for example: pakistan cases usually on average takes full year.

Yes, we did. I think it was correct for us to use the I-864EZ since he will only use his salary as shown in his recent 2015 fed tax return.

What got me really worked up was that he used the gross pay in line 1 of his W2 in the total income part of I-864EZ instead of using the total income that was written in his federal tax return. However, it still is above the poverty guideline, hope this won't cause a checklist.

Thanks!

Wont say this was the exact mistake. But we made a mistake in I864A in total income of my husband and my father in law who is the household member. We never saw it before the interview date. We didn't get any checklist BUT you can never trust NVC. They can give checklist any time. So better you call after 5pm to NVC, as I saw people after 5pm are much nicer than the morning people (my personal experience with NVC) and ask them. Or you can do as Mrs Burgz has said. Not advisable to wait another 30days for this small thing. But they mostly care about the poverty line of the sponsor as far as my knowledge. All the Best.

Congrats and good luck at the interview! :)

Thanks, not sure if you are interested but here's my history and time line. I'm a Brit, hubby USA. Married since Feb 2014. We applied 1st Feb 2016(that's the received date and priority date from Nebraska, May 13th Nebraska contacted us to say it's all good next stage NVC, then it sort of went quiet, but I got my criminal record check done. Then June 26th Nvc asked us for fees and the next set of forms. We paid straight away and with confirmation of payment sent everything in on 28th June (I don't think our attorney did next day, which annoyed me, I would have paid ANYTHING to get it there asap! Nvc got it July 6th. My hubby is in our house in Florida, in March I came back to UK, had our baby and have been waiting. Good luck to you. Not sure if you are doing this from within USA or like me outside....

I've called the NVC to request a status, some reps tell me the marriage certificate is missing, other say it is in file. It has been 40 days since my scan date and one month since i filled the ds260.

Should I resend the marriage certificate? Or is this something normal?

Did you receive a checklist for the marriage certificate?

attachicon.gifCase Completed.PNG.2.PNGsaw three N/A

need to confirm by calling them

scan date 6th July 2016

case completed 3th august 2016

thanks GOD

Congratulations!

My case was complete at the NVC today. Does anybody know how long (on average) it takes to schedule an interview? I will be having mine at the US Embassy in London.

Check DWheels spreadsheet in the CC to Interview thread (very first post), that should give you the estimates for London. If you are very lucky, London is still scheduling interviews this week and you may receive an interview in September if they're still have slots open. If they've concluded scheduling for this round, you would have to wait for the next round in late August / early September (usually last and first week of the month, they schedule). Check Brit2Florida's timeline (post below this), they were really lucky, so maybe the same goes for you!

I am in the same situation likewise. In my case it was my sponsors form I-864 that I noticed that the gross income was documented instead of the total income from their form 1040 though they are well over the poverty line.I will call and ask if it's OK as the paperwork is there to back it up and if when cc it can be brought to the interview. I just pray for a smooth sail for us all.
