Can the fingerprint/bio-metrics be done 2 weeks prior to the interview date? or should it be close to the interview date? and the same for the medical examination can it be done 1 week prior to the interview?

Thanks

thank you! i attached a screen shot of my salary history with my name and social, in order to demonstrate the changes in my salary, hopefully thats enough. fingers crossed

Hopefully that is enough but usually they request paystubs or employment letter.

Petition got approved August 9, called NVC an hour ago, case not received yet. This is just so frustrating since as what I've observed, most of you guys here only took a week to get a confirmation that your cases were received. :(

Mine took exactly 2 weeks to get case number and iin and a week or so to have my file sent there. Edited by rooji

Not getting a confirmation that they received our case is making me more frustrated each day since I'm really looking forward to celebrating our first Christmas as married together.

I have same question. Planning for medical before one month.

From what I know is that medical reports are good for 6 months. So as long as all the other process is completed within time frame we should be fine. It will help if someone else can clarify that though.

Thank You

I can totally understand your frustration. Honestly I wanted to do the same for my husband but I know I have to wait 5 months after nvc so I have learned to wait.

While you wait, start collecting documents that you will need to send. That whole process is a week long that way you get that taken care of as soon as u get ur case number and fill out proper forms and pay the fees. So just do this in the mean time because it is time consuming.

Did you guys get an interview date yet? Someone mentioned here that wait till you get the date and then schedule ur medical and biometrics because I think you need the letter to show at the medical and biometrics. But someone else can confirm for country specific.

Our took 3 weeks until NVC received it. USCIS just sat on it for two weeks after NOA2, and then once they sent it, NVC didn't receive it for 5 days. It took another two weeks after that to get a case number and IIN. I hope yours will be sent soon - sometimes USCIS case status doesn't update, so better to keep checking with the NVC as well.

Rooji, I called NVC and they confirmed the appointment date, I just want to know that can the Bio-metrics and medical be done 2 weeks prior to the appointment date or should it be just a few days before the appointment?

Unfortunately no. Are you using a sponsor?

No, im planning on using assets. I probably could use a co-sponsor if that would exempt me of having to wait for my transcripts, since I dont have W2s... is that what you mean? Thank u

I think you have your wait for the letter from the embassy. Someone mentioned that before here. But I would certainly confirm with people who have already gone through it before.
