Hello everybody,

We emailed NVC to expedite our case and we got a revert back from them this morning, they accepted our request and the file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General but they stated that it could take up to two weeks for the consular section to receive the case file once it has shipped from NVC.

Waiting to hear back from the consulate now, the waiting never end!!!

Good news. Does that mean you have to schedule your own interview once your file reach US Embassy?

Well I hope I am not late. But just make sure that all the income numbers are correct and matches ur tax transcript or tax returns. Make sure all the signature's are there. Also mention anything u believe requires explanation such as if ur income from 2015 and now is different and why. That is all I remember...

thank you! i attached a screen shot of my salary history with my name and social, in order to demonstrate the changes in my salary, hopefully thats enough. fingers crossed

I think when a case is expedite, NVC is not responsible for scheduling an interview. You might want to check with NVC on this. I would suggest calling US Consulate in India and see what is the earliest interview date you can get.

Yeah makes sense, will call NVC and check what the next step would be, thanks for your suggestion.

i called nvc today they siad they have reecived my package at the center and will take upto 2 weeks to enter into the system

Usually it does take 14 calendar days for NVC to assign case number and invoice number. While waiting for these number you could make sure you have read all the instructions in the first post of this thread. In addition, make sure you also have everything read to go. If you are prepared and do everything correctly your NVC journey should last only 30 to 40 days (after receiving case and invoicing numbers). If you have anymore questions you can always ask here.

Good Luck on the NVC journey.

Get a head start on the police clearance. We made the mistake of waiting last minute and ran into delays due to not updating her Indian passport (wanted us to update her passport to married). It caused us a month in delay.

You will need benificary birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport pages, police certificates, and any translated documents. We are not required to send photos to NVC anymore. Once you receive case number and invoice number you will also get an email from NVC regarding document cover sheet. It will list all the require documents. I thiink you can always reschedule your interview, but I would suggest not to do so.

If you haven't already updated your spouse passport, than do so as soon as possible. To obtain PCC from the passport office they require the most updated passport in India. Meaning spouse name should be on the passport.

If everything goes smoothly for you, than you should be getting an interview in December. That is just my estimate.
