Hey guys. I'm confused. I have an immigration lawyer and I sent them scan copies of my police certificate, marriage certificate and birth certificate for my IV package. They responded by saying they are not gonna send off the police certifate, just carry it to the interview. Isnt a copy of that required for the IV package?

Don't forget the Biographic page of the beneficiary's passport because thats needed for the IV package

hello everyone,

so im sending my i-864 and supporting documents first thing tomorrow, are there any FYI's before i submit my documents that i should be aware of/ include and etc? and advice is greatly appreciated !! please and thank you in advance !

Well I hope I am not late. But just make sure that all the income numbers are correct and matches ur tax transcript or tax returns. Make sure all the signature's are there. Also mention anything u believe requires explanation such as if ur income from 2015 and now is different and why. That is all I remember...

Thanks for the response guys really appreciate it. My husband was also living in Jamaica at the time we sent in the i-130, he now lives in the states. I asked the lawyer if we should inform NVC of the change of address as there is a domicile section in the AOS package, and my husband has been living outside the US for over 10yrs. He said he's not going to, as he feels will slow down the process. Is this right

Can someone help me with this question plz? If you are using the three year rule for Tax Transcripts do you need W2's are Transcripts alone is good no sponsor.

If you are using your tax transcripts don´t need the w2s, they´re used only if you dont have your tax transcripts available.

He was always living in Jamaica, we filed the I-130 in February and he migrated in May. Should domicile be an issue for us? Our lawyer says he's not informing NVC of his change of address.

Your timeline shows that you filed your petition in March and approved in July and NVC received it August. Not sure if your timeline is correct. From what I understand is NVC is the "middle man" for the Embasses overseas, but your husband has already migrated here not sure why would he need to be going through NVC. Maybe someone else can Chime in here.

Anyway if you guys move the change of address can be done through NVC. Not sure why the Lawyer wouldn't need you to change your address.

Yes sorry about that, I meant March. I'm the beneficiary my husband is the petitioner. He grew up in Jamaica, and migrated in May. When we filled out the forms for USCIS, the address we used was our address in Jamaica.

Oh you're the beneficiary. Makes more sense now. It doesn't hurt to change the address but, USCIS and NVC doesn't really mail anything to overseas. However I have read where some persons that live overseas got mail from uscis and some didn't. When you're filling out the NVC docs online just put the address here in the US.

My scan date is July 18th as well. I called on Friday and was told that it is taking 5 weeks right now but not 6 weeks. So maybe Monday for us. Please post if you get any other feedback when you call.

I called them and they said it is still under review and to wait until 6 weeks has passed. So if I don't hear anything I guess I will be calling them back on the 29th.
