This is so frustrating.i just found out i have a checklist. They are missing my passport copy. I am damn sure my lawyer mailed it to them. ANOTHER MONTH DELAY

Send it to NVC with the cover sheet as soon as possible. I know it is frustrating, but still. One option might be to call supervisor and request if you can show it at the interview, but I doubt they will accept it. I am so sorry to hear this.

I can completely understand about delays. I am waiting for the interview date from past 18 days now.

I just checked on the NVC site to see if there was any update and I saw 3 N/A. I'm calling them first thing once they open to confirm. My scan date July 21st. I am beyond happy. I was worried that I was going to get a checklist for not submitting W2s (Thank you Mrz. Burgz for calming my nerves down a bit) and also not having a police clearance for one of the countries my husband lived in (The Gambia) because I was unable to obtain one. I haven't received any email yet so I'm not sure if they will still ask for my husband to bring those documents. I am very happy though that they completed my case and I did not have to go through the hassle of submitting the docs and then waiting again.

For those still waiting for CC it will soon come when you least expect it. This whole process has taught me a lot about patience and I know soon it will end with my husband and I in each other's arms.

YEAHHHHH! Congratulations!!!!

I wouldn't trust lawyers... they work with so many cases and it is very high likely they miss or screw 1 or 2 (heard from many people)... why didn't you do the papers by yourself?

scan your passport first and last page and email it to your lawyers so he/she can send it to NVC right away... if you courier or mail, you will be wasting few days or at least a week... take care..

Thanks. I believe we are most likely going to be assigned to Mumbai Consulate. I hear there is long wait time for Mumbai but it seems they give interviews to the spouses of US citizens faster over a green card holder. I am not sure how true this is. Are you Mumbai as well?

Yes, I am also waiting for Mumbai consulate. They should have already assigned you a consulate. If your first three letter of the case number is BMB than you have been assigned Mumbai consulate. Even I think Mumbai is backed up but it is true that US citizen gets privilege over green card holder. Hopefully we all will hear something soon.

Yes you right. My case ID starts with BMB and the representative said they are waiting on Mumbai. I am a US citizen so I hope the wait is not too long. Hopefully we all hear something before the end of the month.

I think you are thinking too hard. This is what I did for my case, which is similar to what you described.

I used my brother for a co sponsor and filled i864a in addition to my i864. I am not working so I explained that. My brother just got a job which is more than above the guidelines. It was only 4 months since he got the job. I sent his last 3 years tax transcripts and showed his current income from his new job. Since his current income was higher than 2015 one, I included or rather he included explanation for why it was. I researched on this. So all u have to do is that your husband can use his current income and just explain in a separate letter or in the space provided in the form of why his current income is different from 2015. Also provide pay stubs or employment letter or both to reflect his new income. You should be fine. You will not need a co sponsor or joint sponsor.
