Hello All,

I filed petition for my wife as F2A in the past but I recently got naturalized. I upgraded my petition from F2A to IR1 and confirmed the receipt of naturalization certificate over the phone.

Please see my signature for detail of my timeline.

I'm waiting for Case Complete. Hopefully my case will be on the way to consulate in Kathmandu embassy soon.

Another month... My IV/AOS packets arrived at NVC today (well, according to the mailing tracker), now I have to wait until I get the e-mail from them informing that they received it...

NVC may or may not email you saying that they received your documents, so it is always better to call them to be certain that your packets were received.

Hi, I called NVC today and they said they received my case august 8, 2016. I'm just waiting for my case number.

I called the NVC to get an update on my 2 cr-2 cases. NVC(live person) said that the documents are still in review. Does anyone know if that means that my cases are being looked at now? Or is that a generic get off the phone and wait some more response? before, when I have called they would only tell me that the mail was received and was waiting to be reviewed.

Here's what I think is happening at NVC. Part of the process at NVC for the review of the case is to check papers, enter into the system, and validate the authenticity. At the same time, they work with other government agencies. Sometimes these agencies don't respond right away. For example, FBI requires about 3 weeks for their process. So there is a delay. NVC works with many other agencies prior to completing the case to make sure there's no fraud. NVC also does not count weekends in that 30 days time period. Also, process differs from countries to countries due to risks involved with that country. This is why you may see some people get their case complete earlier than 30 days for certain countries.

Regarding the case#, Once NVC receive your case from USCIS, they wait for 2 weeks to give you the case number. They generally have your case# within 24 - 48 hours after receiving the file but they try to control their workload and do not give out case# until 2 weeks (+- 1 day) from the date they have received papers from USCIS. In my case, NVC received my papers on June 21st. So, July 5th was 2 weeks for me. I called NVC around 10:30 PM CST on July 1st. They said they don't have the case yet and it takes about 2 weeks. I called again on July 5th around 6:30 am CST and they gave me my case number. NVC was closed on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. No way someone worked over the weekend and early in the morning of 5th to get the case#.

So, my advice for all those waiting for case#, please wait for 2 weeks and then call them. Make sure you get Case# and Invoice ID.

For those who are waiting for CC, hang on tight. Its almost over. Believe me, NVC wants to get things done faster but sometimes those delays are beyond their control.

Saw 3 N/As and called the NVC. They said it looks all good, they don't need anything else, but it's still pending one final review from the supervisor. Hope to get the final CC tomorrow!

I noticed that NVC received my case on 6/21 and yours on 6/23. This could be the reason why mine got processed first than yours. Just saying... Anyways, now we just have to wait for INTERVIEW DATE!!! :-)

Praise the Lord...This couldn't have come at a more better time especially after working a long 10 hours shift and feeling so drained but thanks to my husbands call which is always uplifting. I logged on to find 3 N/As. I will be calling before the day is over to confirm. To everyone else still waiting do know that God is able.

I called them, the call agent said that it might still be in their mail room (well, it literally got there this morning ) so it's pending to be scanned in the system... She did tell me that they have been behind on sending e-mails to people to notify them, so she advised me to call back later in the week. I'll probably call them tomorrow or on Thursday..

the waiting game has got the be the worst part of this whole process. Ive been waiting for days for the IV fee to be invoiced. My goal is to have the AOS/IV packet mailed before the end of the month !! but this IV fee has my goals at a halt.

Now all of us are waiting for interview date. From your timeline it seems like you will have interview at Delhi. Good Luck on getting interview date. If NVC and Mumbai are working in similar way like last month, than we should be hearing something soon. Fingers crossed!

I called this morning, and they confirmed our case is complete and is awaiting the consulate to send out dates to set us a date for an interview. So relieved. Case complete in 21 days.
