As for me - still no interview letter. And I'm starting to worry that the interview date I was given on the phone may not be accurate. Sooooo nervous right now, because it's close to a week...

You could call again to check on your interview date, and see if anything changes.

Thanks alot guys. ? Understood from the whole process that until and unless the case is complicated it's much better to do the whole process yourself. Helps in many things,which helped me in the interview alot. And all the files from the envelope from beginning to end everything we send to USCIS is being forwarded to the embassy. I was given back a huge bunch of things and felt like an idiot when i carried 500pgs of proff and 210 pics and CO asked for not a single thing like not even a single picture? It was clear enough that the decision was made earlier or my case was already read. I needed no I 864A from my mother in law when my in laws file taxes jointly and only father in law sent I 864A unless husband earns enough in the current year and has three years tax return to show,atleast was my case. Though i took all originals of I 864 and I 864A. All the best to everybody here waiting for interview and congratulations to who got approved including me ?

Omg me toooooo... I haven't even waited 2 months and I'm already getting eh about it. At the end of the month I get so excited, and then the next week I'm...ugh....

Hey my interview is scheduled on august 19th at Mumbai Consulate, my question here is whether do i have to complete my biometrics ie: fingerprint and photos in the same embassy on the same date or do i have to schedule an appointment by going to the usa travel docs website. i have already scheduled an appt at the mumbai consulate to be on a safer side for my biometrics. but was really confused. can i complete my biometrics at my home city and attend the interview in mumbai?

You have to schedule a separate appointment by going to USA travel docs website. Once you fill in the details it will select the location for Biometric appointment (it will be Mumbai) you can't change this, but you can select any time. You will get appointment confirmation page which you will have to bring in at the day of biometric. We scheduled ours couple days before our interview. Good luck!

well we have usa counslate in hyd, we called them yesterday and they said that we can complete biometric in hyderabad and interview at mumbai counslate.. i hope we dont face any problems

I don't think you will if it's in that list of where u can take biometrics. Though I took in Mumbai while i cd have in Kolkata too.

Oh ok! well then i will go by the words of the hyderabad consulate ppl, who told me that we can complete biometrics at hyderabad consulate and interview at mumbai. I scheduled my biometrics on 17th aug in hyd and interview on 19th AUG in mumbai.
