My husband will be flying from Philippines to Japan than to LAX airport to JFK airport (where I'll pick him up). Is Lax airport where he'll be interviewed? Can someone please tell me the process...

If he's changing planes at LAX yes that's his POE and when he will go through immigration.

I woke up this morning in North Carolina next to my husband and it feels like home! My POE was Miami International Airport and based on my experience yesterday I would not advise anyone to take that route...I spent 3:30 waiting to be processed into their system. I went through the regular line and handed in my envelope then I was sent to another room to wait and that's when I sat there for hours and almost missed my connecting flight but the flight was delayed for 2 hours so I managed to get it. I was not even asked one question they just had me sitting and waiting and at the end of it they just called my name and handed me back my passport. I finally arrived in Charlotte at 1:10am and we got to the house just before 3am. I'm just really relieved that it's over!

my husbands interview is monday. I received an email about registering and we're really confused about this. because when he calls or when I call it's a voice message. is this to register after his interview? for the visa?

I would think they are talking about ustraveldocs.com I think there you register how you want to receive Visa mail or pickup.

This from your information page.

"If the visa is approved, you will get a sheet of paper that tells you to contact the call center if you haven't chosen a Cargo Expreso agency."

the medical itself is 15875$ ?

and you got MMR and TDap and paid 6000 more?

what's that" i really don't understand" here in the middle east, the medical cost 140$ plus vaccination will be way lower than 140$

This price is in Jamaican dollars. It's close to 140USD when converted. TDap and MMR are vaccinations- Mums Measles Rubella and Tetanus Diphtheria and Pertussis - those are required. We pay for the vaccinations/immunizations we dont have or if we need booster shots.

It seems like you can email the embassy and ask for an interview appointment? Can you do that, when you get a CC at the NVC instead of waiting on till the NVC schedules on for you?

No sorry there's no embassy for R1/CR1 we can schedule our interviews. You can contact them after you get a date an request an earlier or later sometimes they can accommodate sometimes not especially moving it earlier.

Question from those who are waiting for the interview Please

the NVC requested me in the interview letter that

Bring updated Federal income tax information to the interview. If a sponsor filed an I-864
(Affidavit of Support) and provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal income tax extension in
lieu of a Federal income tax return, bring the sponsor's most recent Federal income tax return to the
visa interview.
are you guy going to take for the interview the same Federal income tax information which you had sent to NVC or you will submit new updated Federal income tax information?

You notice is says "Updated". If there's nothing new there's nothing to update. What you have is a general checklist saying. They merely wanted you to bring updated information. Like we had interview in April. Only 2012, 2013, 2014 was sent to NVC back in January so UPDATED I-864 and 2015 Tax extension information was brought to the interview.

Doesn't hurt to have a copy of everything submitted to the NVC. If you sent Tax forms bring Transcript and vice versa or bring nothing . It's all about how comfortable you feel about the whole thing.

My husband was sitting also at Houston, for over 3 hours. But the system was down and it was midday busy. It happens. Any airport at anytime can experience slowdowns. Miami, LAX, JFK. Chicago and Houston are the most busiest to it does happen. Long as you were treated okay and no issues other than delays it's all good right.

Welcome to America.

MMR you need 2 i have one already from 2015 do i need another one?

TD you need a total of 6 (they said you get on booster shot every 10 years) i have tt/td/polio from 2015 do i need another one?

and the varicella ( i know i need) but how any weeks after you get the 1st shot on till you have get the other shot?

according to the new record and from what I remember the nurse telling me, you should get the second MMR 4-8 weeks after the first shot... so they might give you the booster when you go medical.

For Td she said I should get the second dose 4-8 weeks after the first... then third dose 6-12 mths later... almost sure they will give you that booster too

I think those are the necessary ones because for Polio it says "not age appropriate beside it" Pnueumococcal says "not age appropriate" and varicella because I had chicken pox as a kid I didnt need to get a shot.

At the bottom of the new vaccination requirement document it has "vaccination requirements complete" checked. So I guess I'm good to go.
