10 year greencard approval

Am I correct in understanding, that once approved for unconditional , 10 year greencard, you still have to renew every 10 years, pay the fee, and get the biometrics done, EVERY 10 YEARS???

To avoid this, I am then assuming the next and final step would be the Naturalized Citizenship, to avoid all of the above. Is this correct?????

To finally get our great U.S. government out of our lives, with address changes and fees and biometrics, we would have to file and get the naturalized citizenship finalized??

Yes, you have to renew the GC every 10 years.

To avoid this you either need to obtain US citizenship or forfeit the GC and leave the USA.

The bright side is if you die, you don't have to renew. Just make sure you've paid your taxes.

You don't have to renew the card to be an LPR, but you need it to travel and as proof of status.
