Hi Everyone!

My fiance and I are starting the process for fiance visa. Several questions:

1. Does he have to fill out the 325a form and sign? He is currently in Haiti.

2. Do I need an archived copy of his birth certificate?

3. Do I need to do a timeline of our visits or do I just need to write of summary of how we met, etc.? Or do I need to do a timeline and a summary?

4. Do I need to include ALL facebook messages, phone records from the past four years or can I just include snippets of time from the beginning, middle, and current time of our relationship?

Thanks so much!

1) The petitioner needs to fill and sign it .

2)I don't know for sure, maybe others will help

3)A summary of how you met it's ok, don't need to write EVERYTHING

4)For sure you can only include most important ones

If i am wrong somehow i don't mind to be corrected

Good luck !

Both you and the beneficiary need a separate G-325A. I had my fiance scan his to me after he signed it. You also need an intent to marry signed by the beneficiary as well as one from you. This can be signed and scanned to you as well.

If you haven't look at the guides, please check them out. It will tell you everything you need to send in and at what point in the process.

For the meeting summary, you can just write a sentence or two. They are just trying to verify that you have met in person in the past two years.

ex: "Jerry and I met on Facebook in 2012. On March 13, 2015 I travelled to Haiti and met him in person. My trip was 15 days long."

What was suggested to me (by a visa officer at the embassy) was to provide a page or two for every month you've been dating. Just to show the relationship progression and continuation.

I also sent about 20-30 pages of call logs, although I'm not sure they looked at them all. I just wanted to be safe!

Use the guides and follow them as closely as you can. My spouse and I started the process in January of this year and, as of this weekend, we got married after being together in the US for two months. If you follow the guide on this site exactly, you shouldn't have any issues.

As for the call/chat logs, I only sent the call logs for the initial petition. I used Excel to extract them, as I felt it was a viable representation of our relationship. When we got closer to the interview, we chose some different conversations to print out (although they didn't ask us for them at all, make sure to do this as I've heard that some of the interviewers request it.

For my meeting summary, I wrote about a page summarizing how we met online and our first physical meeting. I'm sure they probably didn't read it, but I didn't want to leave any important info out.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Archived" birth certificate. They definitely will need a copy, but it doesn't have to be an original. A photocopy will do. Make sure he has an original though, in case it is requested in an RFE.
