I sent off the I-130 packet for my husband (resident of Jamaica, I live in Connecticut) on July 22,2016 and I received the first NOA notice on July 28,2016 via text then email still waiting on the hard copy. I really hope and pray that if I stay on top of things that the process will go quickly cause our goal is to try and get him here before our bby is born which is the end of March. Good luck to everyone going through this?

Hi. hubby sent my packet end of june and he received the notice first week of July. After then, no feedback yet..

December 3-23 is the date for USCIS, after that you still have the NVC to get through and then the consulate. Tomorrow is August 1st, there is little chance he will be here by November, it's only 3 months away. Realistically you are looking at a minimum of March of 2017. Good luck!

She meant approval of her Petition by November. Not actually completing the entire Journey by November.

You won't get any other notification from USCIS until there is a status change with your petition. Approve, RFE(Request for initial Evidence), etc

No I meant November for my noa2 I was thinking by March also

Thanx MrsBurgz?

You're welcome ?

Well I can only hope I guess. My sisters husband got here in 8 months and my best friends wife the process took 6 for him he said he looked at the process like a second job lol he would send off one thing then immediately prepare what was next so there was never a delay when he had to send in paper work for the next step. I'm preparing the documents for the AOS now to get that out the way then I'll start on the IV documents it's not easy getting all this paper work together not to mention making duplicates to give to my husband. All their gonna do is shred most of it anyway it makes no since. I'm so tired of traveling I go to Jamaica every 3 to 4 months to see my husband it's such a head ache

If things run smooth, he can be here. I know people who had everything in 7 months. Just stay on top of things. The approval time is the hard part since it's not in your control. Get documents ready before and send them right off when they tell you. Good luck.

im noticing that the 2nd NOA is the longer wait of the 2 I guess we just have to pray and be patient but either way the ball is rolling and that's a good thing

Welcome to the forum and best of luck. My wife also filed my I 130 and it went via Nebraska. It took 4 months for our NOA 2 and the petition is currently at NVC.

Also very happy to see another Caribbean person on the forum. Greetings from Trinidad
