Hi there! I'm from the Philippines and currently at NVC stage waiting for a CC. I'm getting nervous day by day as I read different posts. I just wanted to ask advise and suggestions on what I should do and evidences I should bring on my future interview. I can't calm my nerves because I don't know if there are some red flags in our case. I just wanted some help here, here's a bit of our history.

We met through my sister, she introduced us to each other. In a span of 11 months (courtship, in a relationship and him proposing through viber) we got married. My family and his relatives and his close friends from US were in our wedding. His immediate family weren't able to attend because they were in US and his parents were too old to travel. But his family knows me and we have met through facetime. His brother even tags me of my husband's pics in facebook. We have a 26 year age gap, my husband is older than me. He was never married before as well as me. And he has not petitioned anyone before.

I'm nervous because we havent front loaded our petition that was sent to USCIS, we only sent our marriage certificate, affidavits from our relatives, a CFO guidance and counseling certificate ( usually given to Filipinos married to foreigners who attended a seminar), photopages of us during his 23 days visit in the Philippines ( trips taken to different places, honeymoon, wedding ceremony and reception).

So what do you advise or suggest that I do or prepare for my future interview?

This process and distance is killing me, just wanted to be reunited with my husband as early as possible.

Thanks for the inputs in advance.

Age gap is red flag but we overcame it

Did you label the photos with names and dates

say Marriage, honeymoon?????

they may bring out the photos at interview and ask "Who is this?"

They look to see if you have been together in last 2 years, that family approves, how you met

Just speak honestly at interview and answer questions directly

you will be fine if all family approves and you prove deep feelings for the man

It seems to me that you might have two flags. One (and it's not a big one for the Philippines) is your age difference. It's fairly common in the Philippines. There's nothing you can do about it so I wouldn't focus on it. But it is something to keep in the back of your mind. The second is that it sounds like the two of you have only spent one trip of 23 days together and that the wedding took place on the first face to face meeting. Is this true or did I misunderstand? If this is true, then you might want to see if he can visit again. Time spent together in person is one of the best types of evidence you can submit. It is costly and takes a lot of time to visit someone but it shows investment in the relationship. Otherwise, be creative in the types of evidence you can submit.

Yes, the wedding took place on the first face to face meeting. We made sure to make the most of that 23 days by spending it together on different trips and also going out with both of our families and relatives as shown in the photos we have submitted. i also have chat logs with my husband and his family, call log and copies of money transfer which I would bring in the interview as we have not included that in the petition we have submitted to uscis.

Thanks for the input.
