How many months will it take for k1 visa??

About 6 months from submission to actual interview and that depends on no problems with your application with USCIS and that NVC is moving cases along. They seem to be a little slower then usual. The good thing is you can do a lot of the behind the scenes stuff once you have your MNL# (case number). Once you have that it's rock and roll time. While you are waiting she can get a passport, 2X2 passport photos (at least 6 will be needed for CFO, Medical, USEM and AOS once in the states), she can get original Birth Certificates (3 will be good and a few copies).

One of the biggest problems in the Philippines is having the correct names on her documents. If they don't match (including parents) she needs to start now to fix them as it can take 3 months to correct. Also dates are the same. Will she have a clean NBI/PSA record? You might spend the extra money and get a copy and be sure there are no problems there and that the names are correct. At time of interview she will need a NBI that is not older than 6 months so their is a possibility of having to get another one. Also, has she lived in another country for more then 6 months. If so she needs Police Clearance.

There are so many things that you need and I offer you my website for the step by step instructions and what you will need to process in the Philippines. It's free. http://tinyurl.com/ob9xoa8

Also look over the Embassy Letter for the documents you will need: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/K1-K2%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."
