We are just waiting for NVC to call or tell us that a visa number is already available for my wife. The only reason why I am asking this is because I want to know how long will it take? I know there is no specific time for it but all I'm asking is a time frame/ just an estimate I understand this is not guaranteed. So anyone out there already went through this situation, please share some ideas, info or tips about this. I can't discuss detailed information so please bare with me, because it's a sensitive information. All I can share is, it has been 1 year and 2 months already since I submitted all our required documents to USCIS and then case submitted to NVC and approved, now waiting for visa number to be available. I am a permanent resident. please help guys! just want to get ideas and once again these are just ideas I understand there is no guarantee.

It will be about another 6 months until her priority date will become current; of course that can go up and down: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/law-and-policy/bulletin/2016/visa-bulletin-for-august-2016.html

How long it will take to get an interview once the priority date is current very much depends on her country of residence.

She's in Japan right now. Thank you so much for that information!
