 Okay, if they look at the difference in ages differently when it is the woman who is older, I am in a lot of trouble with this process. My hubby was born the same year I graduated from High School! Okay, so call me a cradle robber.

My life has been blessed with the love of 4 of the sweetest men in the world. James, Jonathan, Nicolas, and Islam, my sons and my S/O.

OPSSSSSSS I DID IT AGAIN!

Me too!!!! I just hope it does NOT affect the outcome of our K-1 interview...The interviewer should realize that ours is an authentic relationship; age is secondary...an afterthought. We certainly weren't thinking age when our eyes locked for the first time. ;)

When you truly love someone, you just don't care what other people think, or you shouldn't. I'm totally prepared to block ALL the negatives from our relationship to preserve it. I've waited far too long to let any naysayers get a word in edge-wise.

People look for any reason to talk about someone. Even if the ages were the same just having a fiancee or fiance from overseas is enough that they will wonder if you couldn't find someone in the USA. I am sure they would not run thier life by what you think so you need to let anything including the age thing roll right off your back like water on a ducks back. It is your life and you have to persue happiness whatever form that takes.

My fiance Pete is 41 and I will be 31 next month... altho we will be sending out our paperwork next month, our relationship has been ongoing for over 2 years. He's from the UK and I'm from the US....He's flown back and forth regularly, and I've taken a trip over as well. Thing is..I can't see them holding an age difference against someone..that would be discrimination. To the poster..you haven't anything to worry about... 6 years is nothing. Now I can see them delaying it over a 21 year old wanting to marry a 60 year old...out of possiblilities of fraud (and a gold digger) :jest: Otherwise...don't worry... Love isn't based on age.

:secret: been around visa journey for a while... forgot other account...lol

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. This discussion thread has a few sub-topics. I was referring to the age difference of female USC petitioners.

I don't think they worry about the person being a gold digger as long as the person intends to come here to marry.

They're not in this to ensure people have happy or not deluded marriages, after all, just non-fraudulent ones.

Ha, so true. In a way that's kinda sad because it means a lot of the bound to fail marriages will go through yet the ones that will be truly right and happy marriages have to suffer through the crazy processes and uncertainties. But of course they don't know which ones are which, and probably don't care, as long as they're not fraudulent, as you said.
