Someone said over a month ago that CSC would play catch up, obviously not!  I think CSC are slow as they had case transfers a couple of months ago. I am not sure they are still on June though, as when I look at the daily processing times for Visa Journey they had been (and this was a week or so ago) adjudicating cases for September. I did try to look up the Ombudsman yearly report and no mention of the slow down for ROC, no mention of it, mentioned other delays that might have a knock on effect to ROC and how they had installed a new system which had technical difficulties, however that doesn't help the people like myself and countless others wondering why we are waiting so long for ROC.

What system?

The good news for you is that you don't have to wait too long as VSC has not been impacted by CSC's extreme slowness. VSC is processing mid July already in their "normal" speed, so you should have to wait for too long. As a matter of fact, I have seen some August VSC filers being approved, so your approval is definitely looming. CSC remains an extreme slow pace. I think I might hear something from them next when next Feb which is about 6 months away. Anyway, my 400 might prompt them a bit and they may combine both. Yes, your proposal is a great one, lol, but the budget might be in the way for many lawmakers.

As we know this is subject to change as CSC was only taking around 5 months a few months ago and I think its because the CSC have had workload transfers in June and others in the months before that have slowed them down

Some kind of new Elis system for N400, they had one computer system introduced a new one to handle new N400 cases , our fees went towards the new system but it was full of computer viruses and bugs and such, just one hot mess really

Oh god, it said it was taking 6 months last year and it started to slow down and now it seems indefinite. I have kind of given up waiting but still hopeful because I've already filed 400, and i checked the Los Angeles filed office, it takes about 9 months, so by next May, my interview will probably be available and I will have probably been approved, if that is the case, i will have the 10 year green card for a very short period of time before I have to return it upon the oath ceremony. My focus now is 400, and they may combine both applications or they may not...

Yes that will speed it up, its the way it is nowadays. Its not right its not fair for people who are not going for the N400 and are just doing ROC, but at the end of the day according to a question and answers debate AOS and N400 takes first place over ROC.  Wouldn't be so bad if AOS had taken nearly a year.  The only solution for all cases I see is that they stop putting money into new forms and computers and open new centers with more staff, then everyone would be happy, the staff, the customers and people who get new jobs.  After all it seems we are stakeholders (I think, paying the fees that go up constantly).  I have no doubt you will get your ROC evaluated in the next few weeks. Good luck!

Good luck to you too, I got my AOS approved in less than a year, but I had to do 601 waiver to take care of my 2 petty misdemeanors, I was delayed for 6 months because of that. Yeah I think for CSC filers, maybe it will be a few more months like I have said. Maybe it is a way for our government to weed out people who just want to be here as green card holders by kind of forcing them to apply 400, lol, that is my conspiracy theory, it is a country loyalty test, and more money for them too with the 400 applications. Good luck to you. Keep us posted, I am sure you will be approved soon, in a month or so I am predicting.

Thanks but I doubt I will get an approval for months I am a Feb filer so end of the month will be 6 months. I can predict that when I go away to see my son for Christmas as I do every year, I will get either an RFE or interview. I am leaving early this year for my nephews 21st in November..   I have no doubt they wont the monies and to be honest i would pay double if I had too, if the cost reflected the service and it helped people for waivers who can't afford the fees.  Please keep in touch and let me know how it goes so I get an idea of what might happen with my case in the future months. :)

Of course, my focus now is 400 anyway. And if they approve 751 whenever that is, it will be just a surprise

Ummmm... I thought N-400 online application system had nothing to do with I-751 application processing time?

Well, the N-400 online application seemed to be going well (according to the N-400 July 2017 thread) so I'm not sure if there is a connection with the I-751 processing timeline at CSC (then, how come VSC is not affected)?  :huh2:

It is only my theory what is going on and reading online.  Firstly, according to a answers and questions debate ROC is not important to USCIS for processing times as AOS or N400.   It takes a back seat.  According to an Ombudsman report the new computer system for N400 has had major problems causing a back log, which they wanted to address before other back logs, which would have a knock on effect.  As for VSC, I think some of their other cases have been transferred to Pontemac service centre (or whatever the new place is called) However, CSC has had work loads of other visas transferred to them, causing a bigger workload for them.  Just my theory of why things are so slow, its workload, compared to staffing and issues with other visas. Not only did the new system for N400 have major issues there was also more applicants for N400 than anticipated adding to the workload. So I guess my theory and its only a theory, is that it has had a ripple effect.

You would get your GC in September or October this year. Remember my words. Take care :)

I hope you are right, but it is sounds too good to be true given the circumstances. Thanks for the wish.
