I wonder when CSC is going to get to July's pile, my safe guess is October..August pile will be touched in December....and they will finish processing August pile by Feb,lol. It will be very very slow. Mine NOA is 8/8/2016, so I might be touched first by December or mid December. Unless something happens and they all of a sudden pick up speed and approving left and right, that is possible too, but I would not count on that. As to whether they will really administratively combine, that is unclear and remain to be seen..

Received out acceptance letter today in the mail! The decision date was 8/2/17- the online status has no updated yet. We are VSC filer.

We went to the USCIS local office on 8/3/17 and they said they wouldn't look in the system to check the status because it can take up to 2 years... I called the USCIS Service Center after and the two people we spoke to said that the case wasn't assigned to an officer and that there wasn't an acceptance or any update.

Wanted to share that info, because clearly what was actually happening was different. There is hope for all of us! Wish everyone the best- cheers to another chapter in the books!

Depends on where you file. Anything related to CSC is probably slow, I need to file mine to Phoenix Arizona, I am not sure which field office it will go to. I anticipate another 10 month wait before the interview is available.

A January-2017 CSC filer recieved an interview letter today he posted on the January thread. What would you say about that? Hopefully he would be approved before everyone who applied before him.

The last poster to post the list removed my update for some reason. Here's the updated list.

Is anyone opposed to adding August NoA cases for a few late July filers? Obviously the point of the list is to have data points so it can be a good bellwether for what's to come. I'll proceed based on

Ok, so i guess we have to avoid talking about 400 so we won't run the risk of being removed. It is kind of absurd 400 and 751 go hand in hand together, especially this year for CSC filers, but i do agree that this is a 751 blog and it if deviates to 400 discussion, that might not be right either, so i guess it is better to stay on topic then.

Well, it's not our fault that we were talking about the citizenship (N-400) application!     CSC is darn slow!  :rofl::rofl:

Of course, more of us are talking about applying for N-400 so we don't have to keep waiting without any updates!

Not a big deal since I'll post my N-400 questions in the N-400 Filers threads!  :dancing:

That is what I was saying earlier. It is not our fault that we are talking about 400. My lawyer told me over the past 15 years, she has never been in a situation where she had to apply for 400 for their clients while 751 were pending. So there is this unprecedented nature of CSC processing because normally we would have all been 751 approved by now. So how can we expect now to be silent about 400 while our 751 is still pending? Oh well, my lawyer is mailing out the application today, we have gone through everything thoroughly, so I personally don't have that many questions. Well, i guess we just have to talk about 400 somewhere before someone complains and says he or she is sick and tired of seeing all the 400 discussions, lol.  Ok, let's talk about 751, 751, what's there to talk about?? VSC is approving fast and furiously, and CSC is approving June files slowly, and we are applying for 400 or we have applied,,, oh wait, we can't talk about 400, let's focus on 751!:jest:. Yeah, we will probably be approached by CSC in November for 751?? So slow, lol

I almost forgot but there are people who are not interested in applying for US citizenship.  :dancing:

Oh, there are also people who have been divorced so they will need to wait for 2 more years before sending the N-400 application.  :(

Getting a 10-year Green Card is no longer a big deal for me since I technically don't need it since I have the I-551 stamp until July, 2018 and I'll probably become a US citizen by then.

So it's probably best to talk about citizenship on the N-400 August 2017 thread.     I mean I see the same people on the N-400 August 2017 thread so we can talk about N-400 and I-751!
