That is a great idea actually. It is not VSC filers' fault that they are getting approved fast but it is getting a bit old every time when there is an approval, it is always 100 percent now VSC. And their approvals don't really mean anything to the status of CSC. No offense to all your VSC filers. Now VSC is even approving August filers. I am going to file 400 in less than 2 weeks. I guess for July and August CSC filers there, the only way to get this process going is to file 400 because they may combine the two and adjudicate them at the same time. That is what I am going to do and I think that may be the new norm for CSC filers who filed after June, it is unprecedented that CSC is taking this long to process. The downside of it is by doing so, if they combine them which there might be a good chance, you might have to wait for a while until they are ready to adjudicate 400, and wa la, you got two birds in one stone and some of you may be forced to apply 400 in order to get this whole damn slow process going. I don't see other way out since it seems to be indefinite at this point for CSC to process any applications filed last July. I can't wait to file my 400 and get this whole thing going already!

As we have experienced the I-130 (and NVC) process, we know that USCIS doesn't always operate logically. :dead:

Something tells me that some lazy workers at VSC picked the box of applicants that looked "easier" (or lighter) without checking the dates and processed them? :dead: This happened during the I-130 process since my application was skipped and they processed applications with later dates! :cry:

Since I recently found out that we could apply it online, I had already filled out my citizenship application so I may just send it in by mail. :blink:

You can ask the I-751 July 2016 group to add your info since you sent your I-751 application on July 31, 2016. :dancing:

Does anyone know what the notice date on the I-797C (biometrics letter) for I751 means?

My I-797C notice date is September 17,2016 but my-I797 (Extension letter) receipt date is August 30,2016.Just want to know what's the difference and if the priority date means anything?

Isn't that for specific applicants and not for everyone who is eligible for apply N-400?

Hi,

I received my approval notice in the mail today (VSC). According to the letter, my case was approved on 07/24. My online status hasn't changed (still says "My case was received"). I applied for N-400 at the beginning of July, So AustinCanada, you shouldn't be afraid of not ever receiving a 10-year green card if you file early . My i-751 NOA-1 date was 08/19/16. My N-400 NOA-1 date is 07/10/17 if that helps.

I had my infopass appointment to get the stamp next Thursday. I think I'll cancel it and wait for the green card since I'm not really planning to travel in the next 60 days. If I don't get the GC in 6 weeks I might request another appointment.

Mostly responding to @Zombie69 - keep in mind that up until a few months ago, it was VSC that was lagging months behind, and they didn't suggest that they needed their own forum so that they didn't have to be supportive of all those "lucky" CSC filers. We are here on VJ to learn about the processes we're going through and to support each other.

Sure, I wish that USCIS could get their collective act together and process our files, but that doesn't mean I'm any less happy for the people who are getting approved! Congratulations to them, and let's try not to resent them for something that none of us has any control over!

USCIS is currently allowing a small number of applicants to submit their Application for Naturalization (N-400) online. If you are not part of this small group, we will redirect you to the webpage where you can download the paper application. You may then follow the form instructions and submit it by mail.

So it sounds like you'll need to create a USCIS account to find out if you can apply online. :wow: USCIS is not very helpful on this, but it's nothing new! :rofl:

I'm most likely sending my N-400 application by mail since I've already filled it out. :dancing:

I've decided to send my N-400 application even though they might combine my applications since my goal is become a US citizen! :yes:
