Just got my passport stamped with 551. The officer was nice and I was there for about 45 minutes. No new info on the pending 751. He said it might take another 3 months for USCIS to start adjudicating August filers, and he sounded like he was just guessing .Hope they will catch up and start moving towards July filers. At least i got my conditional green card extended for another year. My NOA is 8/8/2016. CG expiration date is 10/28/2016. Good luck.

does anyone I751 get touched? or is touch irrelevant to I751's

My last update was September 7,2016.but there's no updates after I did biometrics on October 6.2016.

A&J K1 visa Journey

Sent I-129F packet Sat-June 8,2013.

USCIS received 1-I29F Packet Wed-June 12,2013.

NOA1 Notification (email & text msg) and Notice Date Fri-June 14,2013.

Awaiting NOA1 hard copy in mail.................................

Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) On Thurs-June 20, 2013

NOA1 hard copy in the mail Fri-June 21,2013

Just had an infopass appointment, though my 3rd green card birthday is not until October. Scheduling was super easy, i live in Milwaukee so it's not really crowdy. 

He gave me my green card back and stamp my passport for a year valid for travel and work authorization. 

He was actually surprised that I haven't got any answers back then he checked his computer and told me that apparently they are stacked with applications: but my application was assigned to an officer, background check done so I just had to wait for them to get back to me for a RFE or interview . Didn't give me a timeline though. 

Ugh I can't believe I had to stamp my passport. I thought by now, i would have been done. Oh well... 

Ps: he told me not to apply for N-400 until I'm approved, it won't change or trigger anything.

Did the officer actually said so? That means your are going to have to either get an RFE or interview before being approved..(?)

It sounds like I keep hearing different opinions regarding if it's a good idea to apply for US citizenship while waiting for a 10-year Green Card.  :(

 

I'm planning to apply for US citizenship at the end of next month unless I hear a strong reason why I shouldn't apply for it.  :)

No. He said, if they need more info from me, they will call us for an interview. But the way he was shocked when he looked at his computer, we are not getting approvals anytime soon. He saw 2016 on my i 751 notice letter and was really surprised.
