I got a 1-year extension stamp!

There were other I-751 filers in the office, and it seemed like everyone was getting the extension stamp!  :dancing:

Glad to hear it! We were going to go in this week, but had to reschedule. Two weeks until we go in. Glad to hear it was easy!!

I went to my infopass appointment today. They took my state ID,passport, extension letter and green card, all were returned to me at the end and I got my I551 stamp. Anyhow I was told by the agent that my I751 is in Nebraska. She told me that Nebraska don't adjudicate I751 so she don't know why it is there. She cannot see if security clearance was done or anything being done to it.I know when I file my I751 I sent it directly to vermont service center so I don't know how my file ended up in Nebraska. The agent said she will do some research and If she finds any information she will contact me,But I highly doubt she will look into it.This was not the news I was hoping to hear.I'm in panic mode and don't even know how to proceed.Does anyone know if VSC would transfer workload to NSC?any feedbacks?

No need to panic. You can't control how they process your application. You are lucky because you had to file to VSC. CSC is just very very slow. You will be fine.

I hope so but am still worried since I file I751 with Vermont and now being told it's in NSC that doesn't process I751,Not only that I didn't get a transfer notice and my status doesn't reflect it.I also see where I751 were transferred from VSC to CSC,there's nothing about I751 being transferred to NSC.I just feel like my I751 has taken a detour.I am really hoping the agent will investigate so they it can get some sort of attention and get to the right center.

It is out of your control. So you might as well relax and keep in touch with info pass. You will be ok

What makes you think it will just sit there without getting processed? The only thing you can do is make one service request after another. Who knows how they operate? But it is not up to you or any of us to demand how USCIS operates, that is just the harsh reality. Sometimes they do shift loads to get a balance between VSC and CSC. At this point, you can only make info pass apointments and most of the time, they won't tell you more than anything that you already know. A blogger here revently contacted the senator and they got his 400 and 751 merged and sent it to NBC. You can't demand USCIS just because you are worried, there is only so much you can do. There is a reason why they transferred your file somewhere else, and you will never be able to find out why, so I would just relax without assuming for the worst part. I have been waiting for 11 months and 6 days, i filed to CSC that is processing very slowly. I am focusing now on 400 preparation. You need to manage your stress, otherwise, it will drive u insane, you will keep assuming the worst case scenario. Try not to panic, they most likely are probably just vetting your application. I would not lose sleep over this. If they really want to let it sit at that center without processing it, then I have heard you wait for 1.5 years or 2, and you file a class action lawsuit against the government, but I think it is highly unlikely it is going to happen. Good luck.

I received my approval earlier this week.

Filed at VSC

Date of I-751: 08/08/16

NOA1: 08/10/16

Biometrics: 09/06/16

Approval: 06/30/17

I got the letter of approval on Tuesday 07/11. My case status online hadn't changed to say it was approved. Today it says they ordered a new card on 07/13 and will mail it to my address.

I hope everybody else is getting to the end of this long journey too.

well I thought that's what would happen if it's the wrong place.Like I was thinking if VSC sent other files that isn't I751 mines could got misplace in that box and sitting among pile and won't get looked at.I am  concern cause of how the agent reacts as she's very concern about it.She never said it was transferred either.so it doesn't sound like it was transferred at all.I am wondering if the info could be an error but like you said I will never know why it got there in the first place. Before I got this information i was planning on sending off my N400 this month and that's still the plan.

At this point. You can just keep following up with the info pass and do not think too much about the worst case scenario like I said. Good luck, I am sure you will be ok, just keep following up.

Thank you and I certainly will do the infopass..I probably won't be doing any kind of followup until if my case is out of normal processing time.Been waiting almost a year now and had been patient, so will continue to do so and hope I will get my approval soon..Good luck to you as well.

I saw on another forum (I think June) that someone got an approval that came from NSC... So it's possible that they either transferred it or, as you say, it got  another box of files, but it looks as though they will process it there if they need to.

Is your timeline updated?

Exactly, I am going to an info pass this coming Monday to get my 551 stamped myself. We will all be approved, good luck, and good idea that you are waiting until it falls outside the normal processing times. Have a good weekend.
