Just called USCIS, they confirmed the one year extension will expire from the NOA receipt date of 751, not from the expiration on the conditional green card. So that means if i don't hear anything from them, I will make an info pass appointment early July. I know it has been confirmed by many of you, but just want to share that with you.

Someone from the June filer group got approved after 11 months at CSC!

I may wait until the last minute to make an info pass appointment if this trend continues and people keep getting approved in 11 months!

It is really hard to conclude the trend based on a few individuals unfortunately. There has only been one August filer that got approved so far, and he had an interview last December. I think it is an anomaly. So I guess it all depends on what the next couple of months look like. It could pick up speed and we will get all approved before August o Sept, but for now, it seems to have come to a halt unfortunately so I just assume for the worst, might have to wait till next Feb(That will be 1 year and 6 months).

Well, we'll probably be in a position within the next week or so to test my theory about CSC "waiting" for VSC to catch up. Almost all the April and May VSC filers have either been approved (YAY!) or gotten RFEs (BOO!) so we should see whether, once VSC gets into June, if both offices will get going again. Oh, I hope, I hope, I hope.

That and the "days out of the US" will be biggies for me... but at least it's not like the 8 bazillion addresses I had to remember for CR1 - every bleeping address I've lived at since I was bleeping 16 yrs old?! Are you bleeping kidding me with this!? (Apparently still ticked about that. I had 20+ addresses - I was touring with theatres and bands and.... )The last 5 yrs have been pretty chill, really!

I've only been outside of the US six times - just visiting my friends in Vancouver, BC, Canada!

Yes, filling out I-130/NVC forms was just painful (almost a crime!) since I've moved and changed jobs a lot!  :bonk:

Has USCIS frozen again? It seems like it has come to a complete halt again? Looks like 1.5 years of wait could be a true. Someone prove me wrong, please.

I am not worried, it took us 2 years to get the GC, so waiting 18 months is a breeze.

Yeah, personally, the worst case scenario is just to wait till next Feb.

USCIS is unpredictable.  :bonk:   They may be slow now, but they might speed up.  Well, they may be slow now, and they may not speed up.  <_<

When I was applying for I-130, some people contacted their senators to have their cases expedited since it was just taking too long.     Some lucky people got their cases expedited.    I wasn't one of them!

I'm not sure if any politicians will get involved in the I-751 application.    But....you might want to talk to your attorney to see if you could make a case to your senator saying that your hubby is in his 80s and he wants you to see you becoming a US citizen ASAP?  :clock:

I noticed a report somewhere on the USCIS website that they're averaging 316 days (year to date numbers) and that they were losing ground by about 50 days a year from 2014-15 and 2015-16 but then from 2016-2017(so far) they're processing over 80 days slower. Seems like the raise in rates hasn't done anything yet!:help:

Thanks for the response. I did talk to lawyer about my personal concern. She told me she felt me and she understood how frustrating it was, but she didn't really tell me to go to that route of talking to my congressman or senator yet, I will talk to her about that when the time comes. My spouse just turned 89, and you are right, maybe I can raise that concern because the fact is i do want to see my man seeing me become a citizen, but that is personal, not sure USCIS will care about that, but thanks for your suggestion, I will talk to my lawyer that about that possibility, thanks.

this thread is so depressing. So many people frustrated with USCIS. Come on USCIS get your act straight.

May be we should all tweet to President... to get some traction.
