I-751 August 2016 Filers

Hello all it seems the stress starts again i am currently filling out our I751 papers and had a couple questions that may seem silly but i dont want any mistakes causing issues,

1. USCIS ELIS account number ???? which number is this ? the mtl....... one or am i missing something?

2.Information about children , do i have to fill out all of this one my three grown adult children that do not live with us and do not live in the states? they still live Canada.

there is no silly questions, if you don't know, you better ask somebody.

The USCIS Elis account, means ''Electronic Immigration System'' account number, and it is the agency-wide effort to transform most paper-based process to electronic environment. I don't think it is in effect as of yet, and you don't need it to file ROC, you will need to leave the space blank.

information about children, how old are your kids, do they have conditional resident card as well?

My children are canadian and living in canada they never filed to immigrate with me they are staying in Canada and are all over 18 . Two are even married. So was wondering if i had to give all their info when they are basically adults living on their own themselves.

no lol, and your kids are older than 18, they didn't fill adjustment of status with you, meaning, they don't have the conditional green card,

BUT The instructions states you provide info on all your children, while there is a box-to-tick just after the name, where is being asked "IF THE CHILD IS APPLYING WITH YOU" you tick NO.

Where the heck do I find my VJ Text Editor?

When you hit reply to post or Quote a post in the text box at the top over the "B" for Bold and next to the remove format icon is a picture of a box. That is the RTF Editor. Click that and it changes your regular settings to that.

Did anyone else not file tax transcripts with their package? I was unable to log back into my account where I requested transcripts two years ago, the system didn't let me set up a new account, the snail mail transcripts never got to us (we had moved during this time) and I couldn't reach anyone by phone. So I just sent our return and W2s and decided that I'll visit a IRS physical office to get the transcripts if USCIS sends us a RFE. Still a little nervous though, especially since we only have 2015, as we had no income in 2014 and I didn't think you could file a return if you didn't have income. Fortunately our other evidence is solid.

We did not sent tax transcripts this time nor we did send tax transcripts for AOS. We sent the federal income tax returns forms -the whole set- when we applied for AOS and I did again for RoC. We sent income tax returns for 2014 and 2015. We didn't get any RFE during AOS. I sent everything it was requested for RoC and now waiting for Biometrics letter.

You can write a statement about 2014 that says why you did not file. I sent tax transcripts. As long as you sent the entire copy of your taxes with all the pages and the signed copy with your W-2's you should be OK.

I have learned that every 3 months a procedure changes, so I would still request the tax transcript and ask the IRS about 2014 taxes and have the statement and transcript ready.
