I-751 August 2016 Filers

This waiting game is exhausting! Do you think we will get an answer before July? (VT)

Some random data, in case anyone's interested -- we filed on 8/22/16 (CSC). On January 10, I started tracking the VJ processing dates for ROC to guess estimated dates for us.

 

 

The attached chart shows:

1) date data sampled

2) approximate date CSC was currently processing, according to VJ estimates

3) # of days until our filing date, 8/22/16

4) estimate of when our case might be ready for processing

 

It don't look good -- in the past month, the estimate has managed to get almost two months longer, from mid-April to early June...

I just moved across the country and technically I should be under the Vermont Service Center now, besides changing my address online, am I supposed to do anything?
Of course I'm an August filer here

If your sponsor is also moving, make sure he/she files a change of address, too (which requires a paper form, available here: https://www.uscis.gov/i-865 ). Best of luck with your move!

Yes, make sure you both file the change of address with the appropriate forms - but it is pretty unlikely that they'll pull your file from CSC and send it to VSC, which is good since they're even more backed up! Just pay close attention if you happen to "draw the short straw" and get called for an interview... make sure it's actually at the USCIS office nearest your new address!

It looks like USCIS has been working on more May filers this week. Hopefully they are able to move on to August before summer to avoid I-551 appointments!

Whose processing time is correct Visajourney or USCIS?because USCIS is at July 28,2016 for both VSC and CSC.

Visajourney is always an estimate based on the data users input. The current USCIS data is pretty clearly an error, and even when USCIS is properly updated, it always has a pretty long lag time of a few months, so take it with a grain of salt as well.

Hi guys.

 

I read that some of you called in your change of address? Everytime I've moved in the past I just filled out the online form "change of address". Does anyone know if that's not an option anymore?

Now it's back to May 14 on their website. Weird!

some time last week it was December 2015.So it's hard to follow and hard to tell what's correct or not.

Filing the online change of address for the immigrant and the mail-in change of address for the sponsor is still the best route. I think those people who have called may just be calling to verify that USCIS has the correct address, in an abundance of caution to make sure that they're not going to miss an important piece of mail (like an RFE, notice of interview or (fingers crossed) an approval!)

Quick question!  We just bought a new condo in the same city (Seattle) so we're moving!

No, (hi, btw!) It looks like you can both change your addresses with the AR-11 online form. However, hubby has to file an I-865 "Sponsor Change of Address" form as well, which is a download, print out and mail in form. From Washington you'll send it to the Nebraska office. (Because that makes as much sense as any of this...?!) 

Congrats on the new condo! After the crazy, crappy winter we've had in Portland we're thinking of moving south!
